Summer 2024 - Conclusion + Awards

These are the shows I haven't finished and will continue to another season:

2.5 Jigen no Ririsa is moving extremely slow, and in the light of new events, I am having a hard time finding time for it. It's interesting, but only ever few episodes. It will be a challenge to finish it, but I am not dropping it.

Overall feeling

This season was split for me. Not only in the "liking of the shows" department, but also in the department of my life changing a lot.
Things happened - and anime was no longer a priority, or a hobby that I wanted put my whole time into. And thus, why this blog died for a few moments.

But back to the main point - I enjoyed a lot of the shows, but grew to dislike most of them. And finishing them was... so so hard!

I took on a lot, but forgot that sometimes things look nice but can hide a whole different story. Before I knew it, a new season started and I am way behind on everything.

Out of all the shows I was interested in, I did not watch 4 (2 of that were movies), and still have two shows left to finish.

1. "Crowned" is an anime that ranked the best overall during this season.
2. "Clown hat" is an anime that I had high hopes for, but disappointed me the most.

Honorable mention:

Kimi ni Todoke came back after YEARS. If you don't know about this show, congrats! You get to watch all three seasons of one of the best romance anime in one sitting! How good for you!

Soft high-school romance with one of the most painful slow-burns for not one, not two but THREE girls that also deal with their own friendship. How hard can a high school life be? Apparently incredibly. But it's all worth it for that one, or for those few important people that make it fun and make it interesting.

This is a classic, that no one should miss!

I think you should check out this anime:

BLs have a tendency to be boring and cringy. BLs have a tendency to be bad quality. BLs have a tendency to be all about sex and little about everyday life.

Tasogare Outfocus is a story of three vastly different couples (in character dynamic) that give you all of the above but also so much more.

There is drama, there is romance. We have good moments and bad moments. Their relationships are not the main focus, instead they are just background noise to a CBDCT anime following the days of a drama/movie club at a certain High School.

It's good. It really is good and it's also fun to watch. Go give it a shot.
