Seasonals - Winter 2024

Take two!

Winter 2024 was the first season I covered on my blog. It was thought out to the best of my abilities. But in retrospective, I could have done it differently.
And just because I am not in love with 14 different posts, I decided to bulk them in here.

There are no changes, no corrections, no nothing. I am just copy - pasting what I wrote, and keeping it in one place.
Here, enjoy:

What releasing anime am I watching this season? Take a look right here.
Each week, this section will be updated and something new will be added - pictures, jokes, strong and weak points of that given episode. I will talk about the anime I am up to date with, ranking the best and the worst episode (and in the end my most favorite and most trashy anime of the season).

In Winter 2024 we will take a better look at these shows:

Week #1:
Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete (Gushing over Magical Girls)

This was the first anime from the season I've seen. Truth to be told, I did not expect to see what I saw. The summary made me think this will be something normal, just a girl that will get corrupted. But what I got was... porn.

[I love when anime breaks 4th wall]

Our main character loves Tres Magia... but only her sidekick Venalita will help her realize what kind of love it is.
And trust me, it's nothing pretty... Unless you think of non-con BDSM as pretty.

This adorable bat-cat is one heck of a blackmailer. Putting our main girl into revealing costume, making her join the dark side and telling her that he will reveal her identity if she won't listen to him.

Apart from amazing comedy and sexual scenes this anime provides, we get the usual cliché.

This is Tres Magia. And that are our MC's classmates. They are not the same people. No one sees the connection. I have to say, I hated that cliché ever since I was a kid... But what can I do. You kind of forget it when you see this:

Apart from that, I enjoyed the first episode. It wasn't something amazing, but I like the concept and I liked the animations and the art. Also, shout out to Fuuka Izumi - our MC's VA. Amazing job!
With that being said, I will be waiting for the 2nd episode.

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Dungeon Meshi (Delicious in the Dungeon)

My first contact with this was the original manga. I thought 'ah! what a fun concept!'. I like food in anime, I like seeing the art of it and tbh it's relaxing to watch a show about cooking.
This show will probably be a biggest hit of the season. I am calling it out now.

Our male MC reminds me of Russia from Hetalia and our female MC is just the template for being the most lovable character. We can all connect to her - I mean, how many of us would eat those things they have to eat? I certainly wouldn't.

The main goal is to save male MC's sister from being digested by a Red Dragon. Going back to the dungeon with little to no money and determined to get to his sister as soon as possible he
finally gets to do what he wanted - try to eat the monsters around him. But not being very skilled at cooking them, he meets Senshi.
This man... this man is my love. He is funny, he is cute, he is smart and he knows how to cook.
Senshi ends up joining our party, not to help but because he wants to try eating the Red Dragon. Good luck with that Senshi!

Not much happened during the first episode, some food was cooked, some people were introduced... But I can't stress enough how fun this was!
I enjoyed this to the fullest and the episode ended sooner than I wished. I can already tell that this is the winner of this week!

Pon no Michi

With no English title and a long time being uploaded to streaming sites, Pon no Michi makes you think 'oh... maybe this is a throwaway show?' but the hell it is.

Pon no Michi gives us a simple Slice of Life show with (so far) four hot & cute girls, a mohjang spirit in form of a yellow sparrow / peacock and somehow modern-feeling through clothes, slang and tech gadgets.

We got little to work with for now - our girls get to clean up and use what used to be a mojang parlor and they get to playing. Nashiko is the one Chonbo appeared to, and is the only one who can hear him speak.
At the end of the episode, we meet the elegant Riche who seems to be very excited about the parlor opening up again and makes Nashiko agree to her coming over and playing sometimes.

Pon no Michi doesn't have much going on, but it is a strong candidate for this season's favorite.

Yubisaki to Renren (A Sign of Affection)

As I was writing the previous episodes, I was waiting for this one to air. I absolutely forgot what this was, so I just watched it without checking the story.
I can't thank myself enough for that. Discovering the story that way was the biggest blessing, and my emotions were raw.

I didn't expect what I saw. Yuki being deaf was a surprise... and I found myself sad with her, during that scene in the bar. Her crush however was adorable - the crush himself not so much. Something is off about him, idk what.
I did mind how he was grabbing her head all the time, but that's just silly. Besides. He was nice to her, made my girl happy and even asked her to teach him something in JSL. Cute!

This anime is a strong competition to Dungeon Meshi. And for the best reasons. It's a romance, but a fresh one. I hope we don't get much heartbreak, I hope we'll get some nice things...

Week 1 is over, and with that the first episodes.
What did you think? What was the most fun and what is your best and worst of the week? Let me know!

As I have only seen three episodes, it was hard to give one the "worst" episode of the week. But compared to comedy of Dungeon Meshi and the absolute sweetness of Yubisaki to Rrenren... Mahou Shojo ni Akogarete stood no change.
Good luck next week!

Week #2:

Hime-sama, "Goumon" no Jikan desu ('Tis Time for "Torture," Princess)

We are starting week 2 with a new anime Hime-sama, "Goumon" no Jikan desu which I decided to pick up on a whim. The art is beautiful, as anyone would notice. The characters, the animation, the food... It's really all high-quality.
The story itself is nothing new, but I have enjoyed food-based anime before so I was excited to see what this is about.
We have beautiful girls and tasty food, and PUNS, everyone, there are puns!!
This anime is great for relax after a long day at work.

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Metallic Rouge

Similarly so, I started Metallic Rouge as well. What made me? The promise of beautiful - potentially lesbian - girls. I am not a fan of sci-fi or mecha. You might ask - Why are you watching this then? But before you do, I'm going to say I enjoyed this first episode a lot!
Unlike Evangelion, this made sense, wasn't too complicated with crazy symbolism. Metallic Roughe will be fun ride for sure!
The negative is, that all characters are so nicely drawn, I will be sad we won't see half of them for more than an episode. For positives we have already mentioned art, characters, the story seems interesting and the world that the author is showing us might be a little paradise (for viewers at least).
Metallic Rouge started off very strong and I sincerely hope it will stay that way.

30-sai made Doutei da to Mahou Tsukai ni Nareru Rashii
(Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?!)

30-sai made Doutei da to Mahou Tsukai ni Nareru Rashii is the first BL I have started watching in a long long while. For those of you who don't know it, Love Stage!! (BL anime) was my first anime ever! So this has a special place in my heart, recalling my beginnings.
In Cherry magic we meet Adachi - a loner virgin who gained a superpower of being able to read minds of those that he touches. And Kurosawa, his perfect work colleague who IS MY HUSBAND.
I love that guy. Seriously. He is my heart, he is my soul and I would kill for him.
The first episode gives us a taste of what we're going to get - a really nice guy that's in love and a pessimist who thinks he can never return those feelings. First episode is filled with fun little gigs, as they start to get closer to each other. And it ended on a little teaser, a plot twist if you will. Which I am totally fine with and can't wait to meet our new mystery man!
Cherry magic is another big hit of the season for me!
Now get comfortable, and let me talk about my husband:

[Look how pretty he is!]

[Look how proud he is when Adachi compliments his cooking!]

[Awww baby!]

[Look how heartbroken he looks when Adachi pays him back!]

Thank you for your attention.
𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete (Gushing over Magical Girls)

Let's focus on some second episodes, starting with Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete. The second episode was a bit less entertaining - but not bad. The art didn't seem as great, but the premise of the story was fine.
I especially liked that one girl from the magazine (unfortunately I can't show the picture) but seeing an anime girl that had a belly was miraculous! It really made me happy.
Other than that, Gushing over Magical Girls isn't exactly a great show, but it hits the mark.

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Dungeon Meshi (Delicious in Dungeon)

Dungeon Meshi was a bit disappointing this week. Not bad by any means! But a bit disappointing. The first half of the episode wasn't especially fun or interesting, but then it got better and the jokes started landing.
We got to see a bit more of Marcille's character, which was fun because she is the walking meme of their group.

[Look at her face xD]

Senshi was fun fun this episode too! Especially the trap and oil stuff - man, that was hilarious!
I love how he treated Chilchuck after the trap incident. It was such a nice and fun touch to his character.

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Gekkan Mousou Kagaku (Delusional Monthly Magazine)

Gekkan Mousou Kagaku was a big surprise for me. The story seemed less interesting than some of the other anime on the list. But the physical comedy was great. You know, big eyes, hands that move too quickly... It was fun!
However, the "son" joke was boring and dragged on too long. Gorou is a very complicated character and I am not sure if I like him...
Tarou on the other hand!!! He is so pretty, he is fun, a bit whiney, but interesting. I can't wait to see what becomes of him!
And then I saw what became of him and the whole mood shifted. I finished the episode, but didn't like it too much. It's twisting the wrong way and I am not sure if I'll be able to finish this....

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Majo to Yajuu (The Witch and the Beast)

Majo to Yajuu was a disappointment as well. It sounded interesting plot-wise, but actually watching it... ugh. Our main girl is extremely annoying and I hate her, the dude with the coffin is trying too hard to be mysterious and I have no idea what he's trying to prove or why.
As for our witch and her apprentice, those characters seem pretty interesting.
The plot twists of the first episode were hella interesting and my jaw fell to the floor. The first one that revealed the witch's true intention with the unlocking a hellfire was incredible and I liked it much more than the second plot twist which told us a bit more about the main characters.
Not a bad first episode!

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Pon no Michi

What I noticed in previous episode and was repeated in second was the use of CGI in Pon no Michi. Awful awful awful, it bothers me a lot.
But what is the occasional CGI compared to our four absolutely adorable and very funny girls? Pon no Michi keeps hitting the marks with me and I love it.
This episode we got to see more of Riche and that girls is really something! She was so fun to have around! And I'm glad they all hit it off!

I really like the mahjong part of this anime. Seeing them play is so much fun, and it makes me want to try the game.
But with the stove working, and the next episode being called Let's eat I'm kinda worried if this anime won't take a turn and become somewhat of a school-club type of thing.
Hopefully not!

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Yubisaki to Renren (A Sign of Affection)

Another adorable episode goes to Yubisaki to Renren which got the 'Best episode' the last week. And this week it looks very promising as well!
We get to see more of Yuki's feelings, more cute chibi-like faces and her clothes are very elegant as well. It just looks good and makes us all feel good too!
I want to point out the ringing that happens sometimes when the screen focuses on Yuki. It's really a nice detail, I appreciate it.
We meet a new character - Yuki's childhood friend Oushi who knows a sign language. Despite being shown as a complicated character, there is a warm heart in his chest. Oushi seemes to use JSL only to pick on Yuki - but we see him help another deaf person when she isn't around.
I do think Oushi will mix it up a little in later episodes.
[Golden.]

BUCCHIGIRI?!

BUCCHIGIRI?! was a random pick - people seemed to be hyped, I liked the summary and decided to give it a shot.
There isn't much going on, but at the same time, it's really funny. The anime has kind of an old vibe feel, with some of shots and the way it's drawn. Which might be a plus for some people.

Our main character Ajin changed school and got thrown in a school full of delinquents. However, in the middle of that mess he meets a cute girls Jin Mahoro, and he immediately falls in love with her! But the poor guy just can't catch a break - not only is he chased by groups and groups of boys who want to beat him up, he also meets his old friend Asamine.

Despite Asamine liking Ajin and promising everyone he is tough, Ajin wants nothing to do with him for some reason...
Then a genie appears and Mahoro shows her true character... which really shows us that this story is nothing but a silly comedy!
P. S. What was the love hotel supposed to mean? I'll wait for an explanation.

Meiji Gekken: 1874

Closing this week off we have the first episode of Meiji Gekken: 1874 which is a show I picked up just because it has the mystery genre.
I was surprised, to say the least.
Meiji Gekken gave us a great prologue and it's more than decent. Set between the age of samurai and modern world pushing through, we are following the journey of Shizuma Origasa, who promised to find a sister of his comrade. Having no luck with that goal alone, he gets tangled into a political conspiracy but in the middle of clearing his name he takes steps on a road he didn't know he touched...
The story itself is unraveling rather nicely, and the characters that were introduced were just as interesting. I especially liked Kyoushirou Shuragami who will mix the cards a lot, I presume.
If I wasn't such a fangirl, this anime would win this week's best episode for sure!

Week #3:

Hime-sama, "Goumon" no Jikan desu ('Tis Time for "Torture," Princess)

We're starting of week 3 with Hime-sama, "Goumon" no Jikan desu which is becoming rather boring.
It was pretty fun the first episode and I fell in love with the visuals - so clean and pastel colored. The story wasn't something great, it was a simple food p*rn.
But this week proved that Hime-sama is just a one trick pony.
Leaving food behind, we were introduced to four new characters - four new types of torture. Still, it was all the same. Youki and Inki are a fun cute-looking duo that introduce Hime to the joys of multiplayer, Krall is something of a beast princess that falls for her own torture, Giant (with the same VA as Mamako from Do You Love Your Mom and Her Two-Hit Multi-Target Attacks? which is incredibly funny to me) shows Hime what pampering is and how great it feels to relax.
All of this works fine on it's own, but I think it would be much better if this was a slice of life of Hime running away from home to join the dark side, or her making friends with the enemy or... anything else would work better than this.
Extremely weak episode, and I am this 👌 close to dropping it.

Bonus from this week's episode:

[The fact that this show is somewhat self-aware does not help it one bit. xD]

Tuesdays are empty sad days for me, but following Wednesday, we have three more shows to look out for!

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

30-sai made Doutei da to Mahou Tsukai ni Nareru Rashii
(Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?!)

[True MPV, saved the anime]

After incredibly successful last episode (winning actually!) 30-sai made Doutei da to Mahou Tsukai ni Nareru Rashii's new episode made me very angry. The anime started out strong but this week's episode screwed me over.

[This is how the whole episode felt]

The animation and art dropped in quality worse than my grades in high school. Most of the episode was just a retrospective, showing us what happened last week which was absolutely unnecessary. However, I want to point out that they did it for a reason. This episode was very monologue heavy, and when Adachi was reflecting, they couldn't just show the same scene for a minute.

Still, it sucked. Like the closeups to them touching. Girl, we get it. Just tell us what he thinks.
This episode was the kissing episode. Ha! You thought I spoiled something huh? Na-ah, it was just a bait. They didn't really kiss and they won't anytime soon. After going out drinking, Adachi and Kurosawa ended up being picked in King's game, made to kiss. Which gave us a pretty dramatic scene, and left us disappointed.
Other than that, not much has happened. Big thumb down, and sad smiley face... Hopefully the next week will be better.

[I wish this was me watching this episode...]

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete (Gushing over Magical Girls)

Well, never mind. After this thing, I decided I will be more open-minded about Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete. Let me just say that this show has no business being this good - the quality is incredible. Voice acting, art and animations are simply great.
Not only that, but the whole anime has a great vibe once you get into it. The third episode just made me realize how much fun I'm having.
In this episode, we meet Leopard - another villainess. Her name is actually Kiwi, which is incredibly cute. But this girl has some serious issues, she is screwed in her head. Wanting to be called cute, and being the most adorable, she fights our MC for funsies, but ends up being punished my Utena and falls for her.
They go out on a "date" and Kiwi makes them transform, which makes the magical girls appear - and what a surprise, we find out that Sayo (Azure, the blue-haired one) is kinda liking this whole BDSM thing that's been going on. Very surprising, but it honestly spiced up the story quite a bit!
The rest of the episode just wrapped it up, but it was a good episode!

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Metallic Rouge

Metallic Rouge wasn't an anime I was particularly excited about this week. This episode however checked most the marks, just like the week before.
We get to see more of Naomi, and Rouge and their unique relationships and humor are just so fun to watch. Rouge is so strange, but that makes her very likeable.
I find the strange comedy of this whole show very appealing. The mecha aspect is really well made too and it's easy to understand, which is great for those like me.
New introduced characters were great, even though I grew to dislike Emily. I get that she is a kid, but is she deaf too?! Her grandmother, however, was the MVP of the episode.

This woman rocks.
There is also something incredibly enjoyable about actions scenes having (is it dubstep??) dubstep music in the background. It's modern, is fresh, it's fitting and is fun!
Also, big shout of to the art team for using blue filter instead of black. Finally a fighting scene that's visible to every little detail. Using black filter/screen is awful - you can't see half the thing. It's used in movies, TV series and in some anime too. But this show passed the filter check and you can actually enjoy the action!
I am not really sure if CGI is or isn't used... but that's another great plus. If they are animating it all, great job. If they are using CGI even better job - because it's not very visible and that is how you're supposed to do CGI!!
Great episode and a strong candidate to winning this week!
Bonus:

Dungeon Meshi (Delicious in Dungeon)

Dungeon Meshi has been good so far, and I am waiting for the episode that will make me fall in love with it.
After watching this week's episode, I realized I can't force it. The anime is great, and it makes me feel good - and it entertains me more than I imagined it would. That is a treat on it's own. It's good enough the way it is!
This week's episode was fun as well - similar to Hime-sama, the story is repetitive, but Delicious in Dungeon makes you want to stick around and see more. We got to see a new type of a monster and Laios' wish to eat monsters helped them discover a new type of food and also made their party grow in size...
Great episode and a fun plot twist!!
Some screenshots:
[This man has his priorities straight.]

[Look at her trying to eat like a princess.]

[They are judging us all hard.]

[This is a cinematographic blessing.]

[A very very important shot.]

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Gekkan Mousou Kagaku (Delusional Monthly Magazine)

As for Gekkan Mousou Kagaku, I hated the episode right from the start. Having bad memories about it, I couldn't take it seriously. And right away, I had two reasons to keep hating it.
Pushing a catchphrase is not going to make it fun. I am not sure if Delusional Monthly Magazine wanted to use that for a joke, or thought it will work for them, but Gorou's "over-scientific" made me hate his character.
Catherine made her appearance too, but compared to the other shows this season, this girl was done injustice. She looks awful - her face is not proportioned well, her movements were stiff and then the whole part of her smelling the coffee beans... Her character was made very mysterious last episode, so seeing her like this was a bit of a disappointment.
I have also had the displeasure of hearing the opening - which tells you everything about it you need to know. I love when VA sing the opening song! But the rap and the weird techno in the background just didn't get the job done.
The physical comedy I praised the last week lacked as well. There were certain parts, but they couldn't make me smile anymore. I found myself bored - even with the addition of two new characters and one bad boss.
To be fair - there is a very interesting thing going in with the MOPart and transformation, plus the twist of an evil corporation that might interest some people. Also, the ending is pretty great!
That being said, the last week is the last shot this anime gets - if it won't get better, we have a first drop of the season.

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Majo to Yajuu (The Witch and the Beast)

We are ending Thursday with Majo to Yajuu, another anime that did not meet my expectations last week. We learned a bit more about why the two are travelling, it's basically a "we handle your magic problem" company.
Ashaf (guy MC) has fun treasing Guideau (girl MC) which is kinda stupid. She made a good point - she joined the Order to break her curse, not play around with breaking spells and ghostly trees. I get her being angry, I do. (Still, she is annoying as hell.)
It's never a good thing to realize you don't like MCs. That means something is off and you aren't enjoying yourself that much. Or, the worse scenario, they aren't very well made. Be it their design, their personality or chemistry. I am sorry to say, I feel like the chemistry isn't doing it for me.
The moment witches came back to play, the anime got balls. I am not the biggest gore fan, but it really made the episode more interesting. And the witch at the end of the episode made it all worthwhile!

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Pon no Michi

Pon no Michi did the same this as 'Tis time for torture this week - they changed the usual gig. Our girls didn't play mahjong, but cooked. The difference is, that Pon no Michi did it better.
I enjoyed this episode, even though it would be unfair to say it was good. The animation lacked this episode, and there has been a lot of cuts. If you're watching, pay close attention to Riche's spoon at 20:08 and the sashimi plate. It's so funny to me!
I mentioned this before but I love how modern this feel, like it's giving you the reality of today's Japanese teenage girls.
This episode still met my expectations and Pon no Michi continues to be one of my favorites despite not having much going on.
Bonus:
[Taking pictures of their food.]

[Googling the word they don't know.]

Meiji Gekken: 1874

As for what I have to say about the second episode of Meiji Gekken: 1874, I am very conflicted on the voice acting. I am not a pro, but something about it just doesn't sit right with me. There are certain characters who's voices I feel don't fit them - the soldier boss for example.
Fighting was done lazily too - simply showing the aftermath of the punch made for the loss of excitement.
We got a better look at who Shuragami might be, and I am curious to see more of him, and to see how the show will explain his character and possibly twist the story more with him.
Other than that, I love the story... just the animation and art aren't meeting my expectations. It's good - I just can't get into it properly. I would definitely rather read a book...

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Yubisaki to Renren (A Sign of Affection)

Yubisaki to Renren keeps making me feel happy - with it's art, animation and the whole story. I must admit, I dislike Itsuomi - I just can't bring myself to like that guy!
Yuki was a sweetheart in this episode too, that goof. The comedy aspect of this series is subtle, but very appreciated.
In this episode, two new characters made an appearance. Shin - a hair stylist and Emma - who we'll hear more about in the next episodes, I believe. While Shin is my ideal man and a sweetheart that did nothing wrong in this life... Emma is mixing the cards.
Clinging onto Itsuomi and inviting herself over... it almost gives off one-night-stand type of friendship feel. I am very curious to see what she's hiding and I am very excited about the drama.
This episode, we also met Oushi and I keep feeling like he has feelings for Yuki. That guy will probably have a tragic backstory of sorts because there is no way they're making him look like the bad guy just because!

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

BUCCHIGIRI?!

Second episode of BUCCHIGIRI?! starts with a fight. The genie from last episode entered our MC to fight Jin's brother (who is very much into it).
As it turns out, Arajin has some weird past, connected to fighting that we'll probably hear more from later. For now, the main focua was on Arajin and Matakara catching up and talking abour their past and their feelings.
Jin (MC girl) shower another "ugly" side to her... which is trying to shape her character but comes as a suprise. As it turns out she has a major brother complex and that one much her brother got made her loose all her "feelings" for Arajin.
Also, let me ask again, who is Jasmine-chan and why do I get this feeling that we already met that character??
Also also, is Matakara's brother in prison?? What is this anime?! And one last technical note - the fighting is rather well done. Much better than any of the other Seasonals I've seen so far this winter.
This anime is giving me a hard time. As much as I love the jokes and bizzare faces, it just isn't that interesting... it's hard for me to get into watching it, but when I do, I just smirk the whole episode.

Dungeon Meshi (Delicious in Dungeon)

Dungeon Meshi had a great episode the last time, ending on a cliffhanger. So I was very curious if they would address it right away or if we'd get something else to pay attention to.
Already in the first minutes, it made me smile. Laios knowing creatures based on the sound of their steps was funny to me - because I can similarly tell my family members apart from their steps, car engines, and the sounds that come from certain rooms. I thought that was a nice touch!
Also, in that same minute, Marcille looked better than ever.

After that I got lost in the story. With new food, getting to know our MCs better and even meeting someone new, Dungeon Meshi gets a hold of your attention and won't let go till the last minute.
The whole joke about Dungeon having toilets was hilarious to me, and I enjoyed the golem garden aspect. I think it was very clever to think of that! This episode focused more on Senshi and gave us a better look on who he is. I loved Senshi ever since he appeared, but I'm glad I got the chance to understand him better.

Senshi turned out to have a passion for gardening and even bigger heart that I already knew he had. With his love not only for the golems or the dungeon, he is climbing higher and higher on a way to become my favorite character. (Competing with Marcille won't be easy though!) I can't wait to know even more about him!
His most prominent is his love for food, no argument there. And it shows - he considers orc his customers. Orcs - who every race has a beef with. He goes kinda crazy just to make the orcs take "fermented milk" with them, just so he could make some bread. Which in the end is what makes Marcille and the orc leader reconcile - which was a very nice touch.
By the way, saying 'Shut up' after receiving a compliment is such a boss move from the orc leader. 😂

Here, have some Marcille pictures:

30-sai made Doutei da to Mahou Tsukai ni Nareru Rashii
(Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?!)

30-sai made Doutei da to Mahou Tsukai ni Nareru Rashii did disappoint me greatly but... let's face it. It's a BL and I like BLs.
Trying to keep an open mind, I was once again faced with thoughts of having to watch the live action rather than this. The art did get better but the new character Yuuta Rokkaku has INCREDIBLY annoying voice.
Maaan... why?! I just wanted to enjoy a nice BL!!
Jealous Kurosawa made it a tad better - I love jealous boyfriends. It's so cute. Fighting an imaginary battle just because Adachi is nice to someone else is how you do rom-com. It's not forcing the drama, but it's still giving the fans what the fans want to see.
I am going to pinpoint a little thing that I find interesting: When it's with someone else, Adachi has no problem touching other people. Subtly with his feet, shoulder or palm. But when he's supposed to touch Kurosawa, he panics and goes in with the grabby hands like toddlers. Honestly, I can't say i f it's on purpose to underline the awkwardness of knowing the guy is in love with him or if it's just a lazy detail that someone thought will go unnoticed.
The worst thing about this anime is that I am madly in love with Kurosawa which means that I will pardon practically anything. That guy smiles and I want to give this show a 10/10. So it's not a surprise that I was very happy about the rest of the episode. The two of them talking, Kurosawa being anxious about his feelings... I found it very very cute.
The second part of the episode was just Kurosawa explaining why and how he felt for Adachi which... come on. Romance is always perfect.
I am happy to announce that we got another good episode of Cherry Magic!! Yay!!!

Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete (Gushing over Magical Girls)

The last one I was excited about was Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete, that is still confusingly fun... It's the greatest surprise of this season.
This episode the ecchi comes first - the shot of a pink-haired for air gasping slime-covered girl is... well, an interesting sight for sure. We are thrown at the end of the battle, when the three magical girls have been caught by our MC, panting from exhaustion.
We do not know how that happened, but in this anime, it doesn't really matter because we all know something messed up is going to happen soon again. Baiser leaves, the slime disappears and Tres Magia let out the funniest lines ever. "Huh? Is it over already?" and "(tsk)Finish what you started, bi*ch..." which actually made me laugh out loud.
The moment the real deal started, I was worried about the presence of the kids. And rightfully so. While Baiser fought Magia Magenta (getting all her clothes ripped in the process) the kids were still there, watching her, with blush of (hopefully) embarrassment on their faces. I HATE HATE HATE when kids are dragged into things like these. Big thumbs down.
I can't get rid of the feeling that Magia Azul is enjoying this whole things more and more each episode. God, can you imagine how funny it would be if she got corrupted because of how painfully she's into BDSM? 😂 That's where this show is going anyway...
We also learn an important detail about Magia Sulfur - she seems to be doing the magical girl thing for money. Something about her is off, from her language to something dark in her eyes... well, she is not exactly the embodiment of good. I dislike her, but she did pique my interest with those words.
Also!! Another thing that bother me is the color of Tres Magia girls' eyes. Couldn't one of them have yellowish eyes?? That would look so sick for their color scheme...
The fight from the last scene was incredibly disappointing - it did nothing, showed nothing, meant nothing. But I guess I can say that Sulfur got more attention than before.

Pon no Michi

Pon no Michi was great this week. Coming back to mahjong showed to be a good choice, and keeping the modern wave even better. I somehow enjoy seeing the girls playing mahjong on their phone while they are sitting at a mahjong table. It's hilarious to me!
I appreciated the puns as well - ApplePai was so fun! It took me a while to get, but then I thought it was really clever.
At times, Izumi's VA is going all out and gets her lines out as a grunting, which I adored. Finally a good representation of how girls really are when they're alone. 😂 (Same goes for Nashiko, really.)
I especially loved this detail:
[They actually pixelated the screen that's supposed to show the mobile game]

So clever!
In this episode, the girls are faced with a powerful mahjong player - FOOL'S MATE that turns out to be the last girl missing. She seems to be very powerful and when she loses a game to our Riiche, she decided to look for her.
What was important was the way girls perceive the online world. Nashiko talks about how she got hate comments once and is kind of afraid of anonymous online players, Riiche talks about how dangerous it could be to use her own name in game, the girls poke fun at "your name is already used try adding numbers and symbols" and they talk about how cool it would be too meet FOOL'S MATE - which I think does a great job at showing the "boring" side of online games.
(Also, it turns out it's an ad for a real life game called Mahjong Soul which... I'm sorry but I didn't get it and they completely fooled me...)
I really love Pon no Michi!!

Metallic Rouge

After an amazing episode of Metallic Rouge I chased the high from the last week. I wasn't disappointed, but I was not happy. This episode was not it for me.
The twist they wanted to present dragged and the episode went by without anything interesting happening. (Sure, in the long run, it might be interesting, but now it was kinda dry.)
Still, the visuals are breathtaking - so you can't really be too mean to this anime. Okay-ish.

Hime-sama, "Goumon" no Jikan desu ('Tis Time for "Torture," Princess)

Hime-sama, "Goumon" no Jikan desu was extremely close to getting dropped last week. It was one of the anime I looked forward the least when catching up with what I missed.
I loved loved loved Maomao-chan. That girl was absolutely adorable - her character design, her voice and even her torture...! She was so adorable! I really really loved her.
Other than that... I'm just bored, really. The food porn became boring, the story is not progressing any way (it's still the same plot over and over again)... It's a pity, but it's my own fault. I never intended to watch it, sombody just broke me and made me.
The quality is great, the art is very pleasant just the story lacks...

Gekkan Mousou Kagaku (Delusional Monthly Magazine)

While Tarou is out on a date (looking terrible 😂) the weird twins from White Pegasus are going after their evil plans.
Jirou draws a fortune and finds out that Tarou might just get stood up. Which only shows, that the date will change into something different that he expected.
Do you know that feeling when a joke is "too" joke-y? I have this feeling with Gekkan most of the time. In this episode, we are watching a Romeo and Juliet play - starring Tomeo and Omelette.
It's Tomeo who seems to be the main character this episode. Something happened, and he gets possessed by this weird feeling that makes him randomly start to sing his lines (which apparently makes him less popular). Of course, by the dark aura and a shiny stone, we can tell that an MOPart is involved.
Props to the translators for having to put subtitles on those awful weird song of Tomeo's.
In the end, we find out that Tarou's date was Tomeo's fiancé. Whent hey bought matching rings, they bought MOParts and that's what caused the singing. And who got the MOPart from the ring because our boys are stupid?
The bad guys.
And if you thought 'surely in this episode we won't have a furry transformation!' this is all I have to say to that:

Majo to Yajuu (The Witch and the Beast)

There is few ways how you can go around witches. This anime doesn't give us anything new but combines things we like.
Bad witches that pluck out people's eyes and good witches that are trying to hunt them down.
The detective we met in previous episode, Kiera, seems to be followed by a witch that leaves clues and word puzzles behind herself.
There was a fire.  Kiera's children died in the fire. And ever since then, people she was close to started dying, one after another. Of course, our coffin-guy and thugh-girl go fight that witch (each having another reason to do so). I am starting to warm up to this show. I actually like it a lot!
The witch turns out to be two boys: Keira's children. They were using a grimoire and things got complicated... In the end Kiera kills her own children and I was left speechless.
Great episode this week! ...I do hope to see Kiera again.

Yubisaki to Renren (A Sign of Affection)

I can't keep it a secret any longer... Part of me cheers on Oushi to get together with Yuki. Yes. You heard me right. I want the asshole to get the girl, because I think he would treat her right.
I live for the romance. As someone that never had this sweetheart crush, I love the trope so so much.
Girls and boys helping each other with their romance, being supportive and happy for each other... it makes my heart warm and fuzzy. 😂
I love how innocent it is - the focus is simply on being in love and wanting to be close to the person they love. It's not pushy, it's not weird.
It's the good kind of slowburn, where you watch them growing closer rather than suffering because they won't confess for the love of God.
Ah... sweet crushes.

[Am I the only one??]

BUCCHIGIRI?!

I'm just going to say that I love how the opening sounds arabic (god is that racist????) which is fitting for anime about genies. Also, everyone keeps saying that this anime has that old-timey feel to it (like Koko wa Green Wood, or Sailor Moon) and I agree with them. Opening does give it that feel even more.
But let's continue where we left off last time.
Jin's love for her big brother is still kinda creeping me out...
With each episode I fall more and more in love with the character design. They just look good! And the music is good too!
Talking about thing getting better each week... I am falling in love with Matakara. That guy is a cinnamon roll!
In this episode, the focus in on a gang fight - Arajin vs. everyone else. As you predicted - Arajin is winning everything because he has the support of genie. Eventually, it's Jin's brother turn.
And the author thought it would be extremely funny to use a bathroom joke in this very tense situation.
Jin then learns that Arajin wants to back off from the gang/fights and slaps him. Which Arajin translates as her wanting to keep him by her side... but really, she just want her brother to step off so they could stay together forever. Which would be sweet if she wasn't her sister!
I just... why is it so entertaining while being so disturbing???

Meiji Gekken: 1874

If you're wondering whether to pick Meiji Gekken up or not... It's very important to highlight that this anime is set during wartime, and after the war. There is a lot of blood, lot of bodies and overall, this won't be joyous in any way.
I like historical shows. And especially from Japan, because the difference in fashion is so clear. This is really just from what I've gathered from anime - but notice they are either wearing Japanese clothes only - or they're wearing mix - or they're wearing "western" clothes. I find it interesting and I do like seeing how things looked in the past. The fashion really does give it that special feel.
The art style is different for characters and for the background, which makes me a bit unhappy. The art itself looks great... the characters not so much.
In this episode, we are thrown  in the middle of a masakre - and this is where my brain gives up. I don't know what's happening, who is responsible or if the faces presented were shown before. I know and understand nothing.
Still, I'm very much into it.
We do know that 'hunters' are responsible for all those dead people. It seems like it's the way they lived during war.
Hinazuru finally seems to be able to go forward with her revenge.  But who is she? And why is coughing blood? ...And what's worse, why did Koume not listen to her and got herself kidnapped???
This anime is great, but in order to become better... some questions need to be answered properly.
I was wondering why this episode was taking so long to finish, when I realized it's almost 30 minutes long...
In the end, I got the biggest mind fuck of all times - even though it was a twist done hundred of times, it surprised me and I loved every second of it. Just for that, a win belongs to Meiji Gekken: 1874.

Week #5:

Finishing all my assignments and finals unfortunately didn't mean having much time. Slowly, I'm catching up though and in few weeks I might be able to catch up completely!
For now, let's try to speedrun AND review more episodes of Winter 2024 Seasonals!

Hime-sama, "Goumon" no Jikan desu ('Tis Time for "Torture," Princess)

Let's get Hime-sama, "Goumon" no Jikan desu out of the way.
In this episode, the demon lord tests our favorite villain girl, trying to see whether she really is good at torture - since the princess doesn't seem to be confessing anything big or important.
Funnily enough, the torture seems to be working at him too. Which was a really nice touch and kind of showed us that in their world, it really is a torture.
Despite the anime promising to "try something different", all they do is change focus from the princess to the holy sword. But they still opt for something that feels good for the tortured one.
I must say I enjoyed hearing the sword moan because it was simply ridiculous. Points for that.

Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete (Gushing over Magical Girls)

I totally forgot about the third villainess from Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete so for a moment I thought we got to see Sulfur's backstory. I was totally into that idea, mainly when Venalita appeared.
But then I got reminded of what really is happening. And I was on board - Korisu is socially awkward, has a thing for Venalita and her transformation look is very very cute, so I was immediately sold on her.
And I did think her superpower was extremely interesting. Maybe even better than Utena's.
What I found interesting about this episode is, that right in the beginning Venalita was talking to someone about everything going according to the plan, which made me really curious. I am calling it now - he was talking to the pink one (Vatz).
Utena shower her good sides - she repaired Korisu's doll - which made me really love her. For a while, she just seemed like a normal, average girl.
Korisu used her powers to treat her as a sensei... and then it got lewd. 😂 This anime is a roller coaster in a whole different way than the others. I am glad I picked it up. Korisu is just a good girl that made some weird-ass friends.

30-sai made Doutei da to Mahou Tsukai ni Nareru Rashii
(Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?!)

It was fun, getting back to Cherry Magic! I've had issues with it, but I enjoyed it anyway and I missed it. I miss sweet & soft love. The moment I began watching the 4th episode, I was smirking. A kitty cat was the first thing I heard! Yay! And their name is Udon!!! How adorable is that??
Okay, okay, listen. Minor spoilers ahead. I knew it. I knew it and I called it. Not on paper, but I did. I wasn't even surprised. Of course we go with the 'everyone's gay' cliché, of course we're going the obvious way of 'we'll show you the pairings in the opening'. I just kneeeew it. What I didn't know (but suspected and wasn't surprised by) was that fact that Adachi's virgin friend is suddenly able to read others' minds too! Crazy! Brilliant! I'm living!

[He is me.]

Despite my excitement, it simply isn't possible for Masato (the one with glasses) to start falling in love with the Delivery Boy this quickly. I mean, sure you can think you're catching feelings, but to immediately become a blushing mess with heart beating out of your chest... nu-uh.
[I know I'm going too much into details, but it almost looks like the guy
on the right in that green sweater is looking at us, viewers. 😄]

[Those nails will have to be much much shorter if you want to start dating.]

The drama comes almost halfway in the episode - Kurosawa is seen with a beautiful woman that is begging him to let her stay the night at his apartment. Adachi - who seems hurt, leaves Masato and goes home, reflecting. What I found the funniest is that the clear night changed into pouring rain night, underlining how serious it's gotten. 😂
And of course he gets sick! 😂 This series... God I love how stupid BL can be! I can already smell Kurosawa coming and taking care of him... You know your girl was right.
And I don't know if it was an automatic light or whatever, but the way everything got brigter when Adachi opened the doors and saw Kurosawa... (timestamp is 13:30 and then 17:33 too)
Now take a deep breath as I skip the important stuff and tell you I screamed towards the end. I expected to scream, but for a whole another reason. I was feeling it (even though I knew it's too early for anything to happen) and then that woman came and decided to ruin it for everyone! Gosh darn it!!

[That is the look of a fed up brother.😂]

Listen. Listen. I love where this is going! Amazing episode!

Metallic Rouge

I was absolutely sure that we would get some kind of drama and twist in this episode because of the way it was build last week. And I was freaking right.
Our girl rouge is questioned by 'neons' and we find out that she is around some shady shady characters. They even know that she is a 'neon' which might be really bad for her.
Rouge starts tripping and everything is very very confusing for a while. It seems like Rouge is not very okay with what she's doing and she carried a heavy baggage she doesn't know how to unpack.
As confused as I was, I was very into it. I enjoyed the action in this episode and the psychologically heavy theme they unpacked. I think the staff is onto something here... 😋
Also, there is this new mysterious woman whom everyone seems to love, but I am just worried what she'll bring to the story and if it will work. Fingers crossed!

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Dungeon Meshi (Delicious in Dungeon)

This episode started out by introducing six new characters. Sime of then literally looked like our main cast going through randomized character build.
I kinda dislike that. I don't care about these people and their goals. I care about the main cast and I want the focus to be on them! ...at least that's what I thought, until I realized how important they were for this episode.
I must say, I loved the premise. Evil treasure that makes adventurers want to kill each other. The moment Laios' sword got possessed, I was sold.
On this episode of eating monsters we eat: Treasure! Yes, you heard me right. Tiaras, coins and necklaces are on the menu!
[Yes, he is talking to his sword.]

[Look at Senshi. Oh how I love him.]

Bonus bonus:
[Play with sound on.]

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Gekkan Mousou Kagaku (Delusional Monthly Magazine)

Have I mentioned that I like when the VA do the opening song? It gives me second-hand embarrassment but I enjoy it!
In this episode, our boys from Magazine are looking for Nussie - which is a joke that couldn't be cheaper.
Perch and Noin are there too, hoping that the Magazine is looking for more MOParts.
Things start to get spooky right away. Tarou (which I only realized now might be a pun) is talking to a purple-haired woman... who no one else sees. We do learn who she is though - the campkeeper goes out his way to tell Gorou her story, and how tragically she died.
This anime... this anime is difficult to process.
Folks begin to transform and the advanced furries fight together to get the newly found MOPart... that get stolen...but turns out not to be a MOPart in the end.
And finally we find out that Tarou can actually see and talk to ghosts.
The show does tease one thing - as the boys talk about not knowing anything from Catherine's private part, the boss of White Pegasus, Edward (the bad guy) appears, saying he will collect all the MOParts.
This might not be the worst after all...

Now take a look at this cute boy:

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Majo to Yajuu (The Witch and the Beast)

Today we take a look at Zombies. I mentioned last week: this anime takes a well known trope and combines few ways to depicture it. Zombies in this episode are undead people that don't exactly look dead, that aren't decomposing.
It's a strange look at it - necromancers are resurrecting the bodies of those humans. But something goes wrong and the ressurected bodies become the undead.
In this episode we get to see the two people from the anime's poster.
The woman is a necromancer Phanora, and the man is "her servant" Johan. Until today, I was sure that the people on the poster are our main character. But... maybe I was wrong.

Seeing them... don't you think they look like Ashaf and Guideau?
This duo tells us about strays: illegally resurrected people that might not even realize they are dead.
If you're a red-headed woman, I'm sorry, but this episode is targeting you in a wrong way.
And not only those are in danger. Johan get attacked by the person that seems to be after Phanora....
I am so hyped for another episode!!
And I think I like Phanora and Johan more than our first duo...

[I don't appreciate the lazy character design.]

Pon no Michi

5th episode of Pon no Michi has a very clever name: "She's here!". Finally, we meet the fifth girl, Emi Haneru.
I appreciate the anime changing the girls' clothes.
This episode is a food episode again, the girls -now with Emi - are outside, having a barbeque. It's been so cute to see Emi warm up to the girls and become their friend - also, I love Nashiko for taking Emi in their friend group, despite wanting the place to be her hang out spot.
The girls were just adorable:
[Words can't explain how much I love her.]

Yubisaki to Renren (A Sign of Affection)

I saw a controversial opinion in the comments... "I hope Itsuomi is really only interested in the sign language rather than her." I... agree.
Am I the only one who really doesn't like them together?
I was very disappointed when Yuki said her parents don't use sign language. If you have a child that's deaf... you have to learn it, that's the least you can do for them. wth.
It seems like the Emma chapter is over now, and the two will have time to move on, and get even closer.
The romance is really great but if you don't like the main character (that being Itsuomi) it's very hard to cheer on them.

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

BUCCHIGIRI?!

God I have no idea what is going on anymore. This show has like three plots and each of them is moving very slowly, at the same time, so there is not much to chat about. It's entertaining but...
Arajin is still fighting for Jin, who still wants his brother (and that brother wants Arajin), while Matakara wants them to be friends again.
I wish the story revolved more about the fighting itself than these cutesy relationships. But Like I said, it's entertaining enough so it's fine!
This week, it was mostly about the war of two clans -
(And what the hell is that love hotel...!)
Arajin meets a weird blue-haired guy - who when came on screen, I laughed so hard because I know that character so well. I hate them all, but at the same time, they are so freaking funny. But that's not all... there is much more to him than that...

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Meiji Gekken: 1874

Since last week was one big confusion, I am going to give you (and me) a PSA on this show's characters. Possible spoilers ahead.
Kyōshirō Shuragami aka the man with the eyepatch is a former samurai and want to take revenge on Buhei Hiramatsu.
Buhei Hiramatsu is the one Sumie tried to kill as well, he has a opium export business.
Sumie Kanomata AND Hinazuru are the same person.
Koume is Sumie's friend.
Now that I think I know who is who, we will take a look at another episode. This time, we started out investigating someone with two swords involved in a fight. While asking a supposed witness, the men find a hand in the river - which, gross, first of all, but very interesting.
I didn't appreciate how they spoke about the doggo - for some dumb reason, they wanted to "destroy" the puppy. How disgusting. Poor puppy.
If this was a simple mystery, I would like it much more. But the politics mixed in... while I still like politics and conspiracies, this time around, it's just making the story confusing. But I will trust the process.
Don't even get me started on the little bird. If I watched this episode that week /this in as after update/ this would have landed the episode in the bottom.
Very gore-y episode...

Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete (Gushing over Magical Girls)

Following the same pattern from the week before, let's take a look at Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete, which previous episode was one of the best so far.
This week we continue with Korisu - that still hasn't said a word to us. That doesn't bother me. This does:

So where the hell is she standing?? How can you have three shots like that following each another in span of seconds!! yet she always stands somewhere else?!
This episode felt very underwhelming. Haruka is my least favorite magical girl so having the focus on her being a good girl just missed the mark for me.
Otherwise it was fine.
One of the things I really really appreciate about this anime that is always trying to do something new - and so far we have practically seen a different kink every episode. So props for that!

30-sai made Doutei da to Mahou Tsukai ni Nareru Rashii
(Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?!)

Cherry Magic! did amazing last episode and ended really well. I was excited for another episode! (I know this is a sentence I repeat often, but it's important for me to track what made me happy, so bear with it.)

[I already love it.]

There was some strange focus on someone that took train with them in the morning. It took me until that person opened his mouth to realize that it's the annoying kid from episode 2. Oh god how I wish he wasn't complicating stuff for everyone...

[Because he's jealous.]

[See? I told you.]

["You're not ready to try to win over Adachi with food."]

["He's one-upping him internally like crazy."]

[(So sorry that the subtitles aren't in good quality, I still can't seem to figure Blogger out...)]

You have no idea how much I am enjoying this. At this point, it's just screenshots.

Look at them. Old married couple looking at their son. 💘💖 I'm in love. It's not what I expected it to be, but I am not complaining. It's really going great - and it's at the part that is the most interesting.

[YES! YES! I was waiting for this YES!]

One of us! One of us! One of us! It's ridiculous but so right for a BL. This type of twist, when there is a pretended love triangle, oh mama, I love it. Bring me some popcorn.
Cherry Magic! had a slow start, but is going great. (Story-wise, art/animation-wise it's still lacking.)
With that I though I hit the high. But then Kurosawa decided to confess and I almost saw stars. ...and then I really saw them when Adachi didn't know whether to run after him or do nothing and the episode fuxking ended...
Just out of spite, this is not getting the best episode of the week. Screw this kind of edging.

Metallic Rouge

Metallic Rouge had two underwhelming episodes prior to this one. Still, as my feelings are mixed about this, I was being open-mineded about it. The past few weeks, it's been a bit confusing. But I enjoy that about Metallic Rouge (even if it seemingly makes no sense to me). I liked to have a story that is slowly unfolding, while the viewers try to understand what is happening on the screen.
Finally, we get some background check on our girl Rouge. We see the life she was living and her family. We even find out why she likes chocolate that much. (Though I was a bit unsure if it really was the truth or some kind of hypnosis the masked man put on her.)
For what my opinion's worth, this anime is going the right way - it just gets a little bit too confusing at times.
I doubt this will hit "week's best episode" anytime soon, but it won't land in the "week's worst episode" either.

Dungeon Meshi (Delicious in Dungeon)

[This anime just looks too good!]

Besides the original story, and great characters with great voice actors... This anime is made extremely well. From episode 1 it's keeping it's high and I am so happy about that. We haven't had one bad(looking) episode!
This episode was one of the more entertaining for me. Laois is determined to taste a food from Live Paintings and so he jumps into one of them.
There he learns he jumped into prince Delgar's birth so he can't eat the food. The next painting is Delgar's wedding day, and Laois find out that he can only eat the food inside the painting, but can't bring the food out.
So he tries the third painting - Delgar's coronation after his father was poisoned.
In ten minutes, we got a story in story and it was hella interesting. Something inside me was sure that the elf from the paintings will return and mix it up.

[Marcille being a honest representation of women once again.]

I love how Senshi makes sure to cite every recipe step to step, as if we were ever able to cook any of that food😂. Still, thank you, Senshi.
[me waiting for another episode]

Gekkan Mousou Kagaku (Delusional Monthly Magazine)

I think this episode stole from a various tv series and creepypastas. I have heard the story of a truck driver seeing something mysterious during night hundred of times. Sure, it was never a skating phantom-of-the-opera impersonator, but it has been done.
Of course, MOPart is involved.
Our magazine guys find the person infected with MOPart's magic half-by accident and Tarou and his magic powers (that are still not explained) notices the dark aura of it.
Even more out of nowhere, the weird twins are here and they get their hands on another MOPart... I would be so frustrated. But the boys from the magazine are just happy that Ryoma won the skating competition....

Majo to Yajuu (The Witch and the Beast)

We continue where we left of the last episode, with the necromancy. Phanora explains it further, telling us about what happens to the soul and mentions Void. It all seems very interesting and I like this view on afterlife, or better almost-afterlife.
The symbolism with redheads continues with the character of Necromancer, who talks about his intension and ways of using resurrection.
The shocker of this episode is: Phanora being a witch.
Also, can we appreciate Johan's raspy voice after his throat got cut last episode?? Top notch voice acting.
This episode had some disgusting moments, but I like that kind of stuff.  Very very good, loved it.
And as I regular female, I was just happy that Johan and Phanora seem to like each other, hihi.

Pon no Michi

Our beloved girls are out on a "training camp", which means we got an onses episode. I wish those robes were a bit cuter, because blue and white stripes are not exactly a good look... but that's just my five cents.
I am loving Emi so far, though she is not my favorite, there is not one girl I dislike.
Music this episode was atrocious and I hated it - it was really ruining the experience for me. Though I guess I understand why it was there - the girls were beyond exhausted and they couldn't focus properly either.
Even through some good moments, this was the worst episode so far... very boring.
[Look how cute she is with her hair down.]

[Who you want to be on a hike...]

Yubisaki to Renren (A Sign of Affection)

Yeah, yeah...
The episode every romance fan was waiting for. Cute.
Itsuomi was pretty awkward, not going to lie. But at the same time, his natural "I'm cool" character was so casual about it, the romantic in me was disappointed.
I'm sorry hardcore fans. This episode did not to do it for me.
A little detail I've been keeping to myself in case one of this posts is short: they do show Yuki having natural dark hair, and address that she dyed them... but what about her eyelashes and eyes??
(Colored mascara and eye contacts seem not very probable.)

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

BUCCHIGIRI?!

This time we're somewhere in a fabric. Matakara comes in, having business with "Shindo" who is the guy that got beaten the last episode. This episode, our suspicion gets confirmed - he "has" a gin as well.
Taking Arajin with him (Shindo, I mean), Matakara and Arajin have finally time to patch up things together.
I want to say one thing - Shindo calls Arajin "cherry boy" and my mind immediately went to "Cherry magic". If you're familiar with this idiom - is cherry boy/cherry magic some kind of code word for virginity?? 😂
Back to the world of Bucchigiri - we get a better look at Arajin and Matakara's past - and it's just as sad as I thought so. The boys used to be so close... but some awful things happened.
When I said that things are moving too slow last episode - this time around, too much is happening. Stuff with Shindo, the fight of clans, Matakara's past.... and the love hotel.
I might just take points off for how inconsistent this anime is.
In just few minutes we see Shindo being saved by the boss of Minato Kei, training and becoming stronger, then getting kicked out for using weapons in a fight, which made him seek revenge.
[He used to be so hot...]

Meiji Gekken: 1874

Can they stop harming animals?!
Last episode, they introduced a competition for swordsmen, and between the scenes we saw who all made it to the final round. Of course, our main boy Origasa got in, with the eye-patch Shuragami and a beautiful Nakazawa.

[Tell me she isn't pretty.]

I had almost gladiator-ish feeling from this competition. People sat around, cheering when they announced the competitors will be fighting with real swords.
I have so many logical problems with this - why is a member of police fighting here in the first place. (Oh, right, to get money for his colleague sister's medicine...) Why is this something the people liked to see? (That one I will never get... Like MMO.)
Our girl Sumie tried to finish her poisoning this episode, but the eye-patch guy got poisoned. He doesn't look good, he doesn't seem like he recovered yet - but he is fighting on. I was nervous, watching him fight, but that guy can move. He immediately destroyed his opponent. 😂

Week #7:
I thought that I'm back, baby... but I am still not back. Once you slip up, it's not easy to catch up, honestly.

Hime-sama, "Goumon" no Jikan desu ('Tis Time for "Torture," Princess)

In good mood after watching Cherry Magic! I entered this show with an open mind. And I actually enjoyed the opening.
For the first time it wasn't that boring monologue, but we saw demon lord's daughter asking for a piggyback and him getting HYPED as a good dad. It was adorable!
He really showed us how peak parenting looks like... though it had extremely weird undertone. I appreciated it though. He made his little girl really really happy.
As for animation, I enjoyed how they made Hime's nose long & sharp when she was bragging, I enjoyed how her eye twitched before the torture and the VA was on top.
This episode is what I wanted and missed. We got something new that was interesting and fun. Besides what I already said, we got a health check-up, this demon lord confession to a finally proper secret:

and overall I think this was second best episode I've seen from this show.

Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete (Gushing over Magical Girls)

Let's take a trip to Utena's past, giving us a great look at how mesmerized she was by magical girls ever since she was a little girl.
This week's episode is called "Azure is in trouble" - Azure, if you still don't recall is the blue magical girl that is weirdly into Utena's fetishes. Soon enough we see her kind of enjoying the torture. "Lately she's been easy to catch," notices Utena.
Props to her, by the way, for trying to get Alice to look away from that scene.
Azure seems to be in a slump, fondling herself and not knowing how to get back to "normal". As far as the story goes, this anime does not give us much. It's focused on fanservice mostly... so why do some scenes look so trashy? In the end we get two twists rather than one - Azure almost breaks and four new baddies make an entrance...
Also! We learn that Haruka/Magenta was the first MS, and Sayo/Azure followed her, which makes Sulfur the last one to join their trio.
[She really turned dark here...]

30-sai made Doutei da to Mahou Tsukai ni Nareru Rashii
(Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?!)

It's finally time for more BL!
Can we just please stop giving false hope to people in romance anime? What good does the character of Nozomi do? Give Adachi hope that he can be with a woman? While he has been warming up to Kurosawa for 5 episodes now?
The trope I like is the romance/por* author that is totally impossible when it comes to his own love life.
Still, the first 10 minutes made me incredibly happy and if I was home alone, I'd be probably fangirling. This way, I just got to enjoy it with a grin so big, my ears hurt.
By the way - do you know what's starting to get creepy? I can recognize Hiroki Yasumoto's voice when he's humming. I mean, I do love that guy but jeez.
The second half of the episode was directed at our second couple - Masato & Minato. I don't really like the two yet, but every good "yaoi" has that second couple, usually a boyfriend's friend.

[If Nozomi calls the first couple KuroAda... would the second me MasaMin?]

[Love does that to a person...]

[He is so incredibly cute here]

Metallic Rouge

I am not sure when I became so lost in the story...
This episode we have a murder mystery story. Various people's faces get stolen by our "yellow" guy from the first episode that kills seemingly random people.
Meanwhile Rouge and Naomi meet Ace and his sister Alice. But they won't get their time off as Naomi's face get stolen too and the girls are on another "adventure", trying to catch the murderer.
However, during that, the detective Ash Stahl finds out that Rouge is an android and Naomi arrests her...

Dungeon Meshi (Delicious in Dungeon)

This week, we went two episodes back. We meet the adventurers that got taken out by Treasure Bugs and thieves, that pretend to have helped them, and asking for money. (I guess they're technically not thieves...)
They really bullied my boy Senshi... :(
This episode, we meet mermaids. We saw hundreds of ways they can be. What I like about Dungeon Meshi is, that they don't try to come up with anything new - rather they find a way to get around it. Sirens and mermaids are known to lure in seamen in ancient stories. That's why Laois sings their song, throwing them off and not getting under their influence. (Though that was not his intention...)
This whole episode has an aquatic feel to it. Mermaids, fish-men, even a Kraken. I was okay with all of that. But when they started talking about eating a parasite.... bleh. I could not look at that. (Of course one of them got a parasite from eating it....)
[very important screenshot]

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Gekkan Mousou Kagaku (Delusional Monthly Magazine)

This episode  started all wrong - by hating on cats. Kill that guy, let's kill him. Catherine saves me, by showing her love for cats.
This episode was extremely confusing and really didn't interest me at all - which is shocking because I love all things cat...
I guess what was interesting was Jirou transforming thanks to a MOPart. That was a new.
When Gorou connected two MOParts together, they lead the way to some kind of map and the MOParts fit in it... wooo magic. 😑 Who would have thought...

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Majo to Yajuu (The Witch and the Beast)

Ahaf and Guidea are back, this time focusing on a string of bodies sliced to ribbons, seemingly by a witch's hand.
I like this witch's design, she looked pretty cool. She does get trapped though, and Ashaf informs us, that her powers are limited for a reason he won't get into. Fighting to kill Helga, they cross paths with Paladin Corps.
It's not her that possesses danger though, it's her Demon Sword. And so, while Helga is trying to go her way, Guidea and Matt Kuga (I assume) have to fight for the witch...
Given that this is a opening act, I can forgive the weak episode. But still, I am disappointed.

Pon no Michi

It's Pai's birthday!! And a beach episode!
Once again I was reminded that the author had an interesting sense of fashion - the swimsuits look really really good!
From Riche, Pai got gifted mahjong tiles from pure gold - but not being able to accept it, Riche, smartly, makes them play classical beach games as a competition to win them.
I knew from the first second that Emi will win, but it was very interesting and I liked the games! (As someone who only gets to visit beaches during vacation, I never played most of them...)

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Yubisaki to Renren (A Sign of Affection)

Yuki not being able to find a part time job was a big eye opener. Many of us, who don't really think about disabled people because their family is fortunate to be healthy, can't even image what it must be like.
But medias like this are important! Not only as a representation, that the disabled people can relate to, but also as a informative source on how their life is and what we should do to help them feel and be included.
We all might know that getting a job later in life might prove difficult. But when you think about part-time jobs...there really aren't that many options! It was really sad...
[What are those windows?]

Oushi made a comeback and he was so darn adorable. I called it a long time ago - he does like her.
Another good attention to detail - Itsuomi's roots were showing.

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

BUCCHIGIRI?!

Despite the set-up, last two episodes were underwhelming. This episode, the fight begins and I am very much into it - excited, happy, curious.
...then they hit me with a dive into the past. The two heads - green haired Marito Jin (head of Siguma) wanted to fight the blue haired Kenichirou Douman (head of Minato Kai), but he payed no attention to him.
So Jin became the head of Ikki Union, to be able to fight Kenichirou.
Just when both head knock each other out, Shindo and his clan join the fight. But Arajin, who got "dumped" is in no mood to fight.
Confused? Well, this whole anime is confusing.
At the end of the fight, Jin comes in with big attitude and strong word - but gets shut down immediately. Which is the final push for Arajin, who finally grows balls.
...All's well, ends well.

Meiji Gekken: 1874

This preview contains major spoilers!!
This was the worst blush ever:

Oh my god. Do you remember the lovable afro officer? Whose sister was sick? ...rip. He didn't deserve it. He was a weirdo, but a lovable one!
We do know who did it - we saw last episode that it was Shuragami (the eye-patch guy). But why??
After that, things get kind of boring... Until Sumie dresses as a "lady of the night" to put nicely, still wanting to kill Shuragami. But even now, she fails to do so. The eye-patch guy takes mercy on her - that might be due to the fact that he can see she is slowly dying.
But! Not all is lost for her. Sumie's bestie Koume tells her that her fiancé is still alive! Still though, once she goes to see him, Nakazawa helps Origasa walk (they really became close after the tournament...) and Sumie looks like her heart got broken.

Week #8:

Hime-sama, "Goumon" no Jikan desu ('Tis Time for "Torture," Princess)

Finally, we are presented with a real torture. (Well, at least for cat lovers.) Our princess has a sleeping cat on her lap, that shows no signs or wanting to move, leaving Hime with numb legs. I so can relate to that. It always is a question of life or death.
After that, Hime gets a time out - she joins the others on Maomao-chan's field day at school. There she meets Hell-Lord for the first time playing around with Maomao and honestly... he's a better father than most real ones.
The longer I watch, the more I love how the "bad guys" are just plain good. Helping each other out, being good friends, actually caring for those around them. I find it incredibly cute!
In the end, for the last race, the princess needs to choose someone she likes - while Hell-Lord and Hime wish it was them, Maomao picks her mother, melting my heart. (Insuke having to grab a Minivan was also pretty hilarious.)

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete (Gushing over Magical Girls)

Let's talk about the founding members of Enormita. Three out of the four names I can't forgive. Loco Musica??? (By the way, this girl is so incredibly dumb...) Sister Gigant who dresses as a nun and has huge tits? And Lord Enorme?? You better names the corporation after yourself otherwise... God such stupid names!
These four remind us, that Utena and co weren't supposed to play around, but exterminate the magical girls.
Other than that, Lord Enorme says "Shut up, starless" to Kiwi, which really brings my attention back to it. Others (even Neroalice) have at least three stairs on them (on body), which I'd love to have explained.
The four baddies then try to extermine our three girls, because they don't want to take over the world. Which I guess will be a plot for a while...
A comment that is important to me: I love love love that the girls have rolls on their bodies and aren't just skinny. 💕🔥
[Those stars appeared when she went crazy...]

[This face is pure gold]

30-sai made Doutei da to Mahou Tsukai ni Nareru Rashii
(Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?!)

I'm so dead.
And also confused. When did it become a thing that characters break in a song out of nowhere, to underline their personality? It happened with Gushing over Magical Girls and here as well, in the same week. I do love it, I think it's magical. 😂
Kurosawa is definitely a golden retriever boyfriend...
But of course, it couldn't all be so good for too long. Random girls point out that Adachi and Kurosawa are not a good match, which makes Adachi doubt himself. That is another stupid cliché I hate... but I can relate. In all of my relationships, I felt inferior. But thankfully Adachi takes a big step, invites Kurosawa out and really shows that he wants this relationship to grow stronger. He is the one to hold Kurosawa's hand and be honest about his feelings.
Of course, the question of sex is not on the table yet.
Watching this, I told my mom "They like each other" which is the best way I can describe this. Wonderful episodes.

Metallic Rouge

Dealing with Rouge's arrest, Naomi fight for her to be released, as the two of them fight the evil corporation Immortal Nine (the woman from the first episode was one of them, if you still remember). Despite that, some people insist that she broke one of the Asimov's Laws, and should be punished.
Jill - who we also met episodes ago - turns out to be a member of Immortal Nine and we learn that they want to "help Neons" by freeing them from Asimov's Laws. They're the ones to introduce morale dilemma to the story - if you want to kill us, you're the bad guy, you just think we are the bad guys because someone told you.
The shock's are done - Ace and Alice are the same person, as they have DID.
Can you tell how disappointing this show became for me?

Dungeon Meshi (Delicious in Dungeon)

LOVED LOVED LOVED this week's episode. I found Falin interesting ever since ep 1, and to have a focus not only her, not only on her as a teen but also her friendship with Marcille and learning more about how she is and what powers she has.... heaven!!! Good god I enjoyed this episode.
Marcille was the brilliant witch who everyone looked up to while Falin was the weirdo. But Laios' sister showed Marcille a whole different world. And when she didn't know who Marcille was... our beloved elf girl knew it was a friendship that would last forever.
(I did get ahead of myself last time by saying this anime always looks good... this episode showed me wrong...)
...They really started eating first, while Marcille was practically dying... and during the finishing scene we get to see an old member make an appearance again.

[I love this hairstyle]

This is where the animation got funky:

Gekkan Mousou Kagaku (Delusional Monthly Magazine)

Dragging Gorou out for a one-minute date, Tarou and him meet the head of an evil corporation, that is trying to steal a MOPart from them. Which the guys will be needing, since they found that map last episode. Bases on their guesses, if they gather all six MOParts, they will be able to raise the lost continent.
It was pretty weird to watch Tarou lie to find a partner, while Gorou was just naturally attracting the girls. (Which was pretty bad - Tarou wants to be a house-husband but the women only went after Gorou because he had a good career. Come on, it's 2024. We gotta overcome this kind of thinking.)
But Jirou seems to remember something about the Contident Mo.

The dreams our girl keep having on the beginning of an episode are starting to spoilt it for me. 😂 Anyway, another non-mahjong episode - this time the girls are making lanterns.
[I love Nashiko's style.]

Riche makes a one minute appearance, which was really sad to see. Fictional characters should not be that busy... 😄
Like I mentioned a few episodes ago, I love seeing Izumi warming up to the girls. Her being happy+ about having a sleepover with girls is so wonderful.

[I finally feel trendy, I really do love the way Izumi dresses]

Seeing the girls exchange "tadaima" and "okaeri" with those cute smiles was heart-warming!

 [Actually, everyone dresses cute!]

Finally in episode 8 I learn the true meaning of Chonbo's name - bad luck. Which... is pretty funny, when you remember his reaction from the beginning of the show.
I'm curious whether the new episode will have girls enjoying the festival, and in the future maybe we'll have a Christmas episode!

Yubisaki to Renren (A Sign of Affection)

Shin really does seem surprised to see that Itsuomi has a girlfriend. Even more so, when he asked if it was okay to make a move on Emma.
That... god, that hurt me inside.
I do with him happiness, but I don't think it lies in a relationship with Emma. Unfortunately, feelings and feelings and they won't just change the way you want them to and when you want them.
Very sad episode... but Im glad the focus was on someone else. 😃

Meiji Gekken: 1874

This anime really is 50/50. It's interesting but not too much. It's cramming a lot of stuff ito one episode - which makes them feel like they're 1 hour long... but the story is really fun. I would prefer if it was maybe made into arch(s) - so they'd first get the love story done, then introduce more characters, then come with the political stuff. I absolutely understand it's not possible, I just feel like a lot would be more clearer if they didn't try to do everything in one episode.
If you think about it, this anime doesn't have an opening or an ending. The episodes are often around 30 minutes... That just puts a bad light on it.

Now, this thing I need to address.

[The flag is wrong...]

Okay, that threw me off, I have to admit.
And the whole episode was boring and just straight up bad. Sumie is getting on my nerves, things are getting way too complicated and I think I'm done trying to save it for myself. If they won't give me at least one good happy moment..!

Week #9:
I have bad and good news. The bad news is, that I got sick. The good news is, it means more time for anime!

Hime-sama, "Goumon" no Jikan desu ('Tis Time for "Torture," Princess)

First part is focused on Youki and Inki. Those two aren't sure if they'll share their future together - one of them wants to be a torturer, the other isn't sure. But they take promotion exam either way. The promotion exam means torturing Hell Lord, until e spills a secret.
If you ask me, a Lord of Hell should not give in to any kind of torture... but that's logic. This anime does not do logic - as we can see in the otaku Father giving in the moment his cute little daughter joins the torturing.
All of you degenerates will be happy to hear than a new cute demon girl made appearance. I for one don't enjoy her design - her wings are too low, the lipstick does not look too good, I don't like the shark teeth type either.
The kid comes up with a great torture, but ends up getting tortured. Scared of roller-coaster, she gets help from Hime and it seems like they became friends... or maybe more.
This episode's animation was different - the characters moved like if they were water and I can't say I dislike it.
Can't believe I'm saying this, but I loved this episode.

 𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete (Gushing over Magical Girls)

Utena's wings got bigger! It took me a moment to notice, but I felt like her design was a bit different... so I checked and I was right!!
We learn that Leberblume means Shadow Puppeteer and she controls shadows, with which she takes control of other people bodies.
I love Utena more and more each episode. She started out as the weird girl, but I love how she changed into a mega mind big brain girl... whoa.
I will not talk about what happened this episode, because I'd rather forget it... but it seems like the two girls want to cross the bridge and be on Utena's side. I'm curious how that will work.

30-sai made Doutei da to Mahou Tsukai ni Nareru Rashii
(Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?!)

You know what, I came to peace with the fact that half these episodes look bad. I mean, as long as they go all out on the important episodes, when the real deal is happening, I couldn't care less.
After 8 episodes, we've finally gotten our first kiss. The first one was extra crappy - the second one was much much better. I am very happy that the boys moved in their relationship and I am curious to see what happens next.
With Tsuge and the cat-boy, things are moving slowly, but steadily. I doubt we'll see them get together, but honestly, I care way more about Kurosawa and Adachi.
Good boys. 💗

Metallic Rouge

Being helped from her imprisonment and attack from Immortal Nine, Rouge meets Gene (who is hot btw). Rouge and Gene enter a Memory Library, and they try to learn about themselves and their father.
Code Eve is mentioned for the first time (to my knowledge) and it seems like it's pretty darn important. Based on what I understood, it's a way to make Neons more human and less android-ish, by getting rid of the Asimov's Laws. She hid the code, in order to save it from the hands of government - but the catch is, she hid the code in the Immortal Nine.
Which really does not only change the perspective but also the way things will go now.
If that wasn't enough for you, Cyan shows up and I immediately knew the name was a key. Spoilers ahead: And sure enough, she is Rouge's sister who wants to kill her... but we don't know the reason.
The saddest thing that happened that made the human in me die a little was the scene when Noid 262 got shot, and the police officers exchanged this words: "Was it a human that got shot?" to which Ash replies: "No, he's a Nean." and then the policeman says: "Okay, it's a Nean."
That was so fucking shitty. I can't even... God!

Dungeon Meshi (Delicious in Dungeon)

I loved this episode so much. Not only did I make 100 Senshi screenshots, but we had an episode with Namari - who is so beautiful I have no words at all.
It was so fun - I got the best of both words, we had emotional moments and yummy food... exactly what you'd expect from Dungeon Meshi.
Another great episode, I am happy to see that the quality stays awesome!

This was stupid and there was no need for those screenshots, but have them anyway, because I love them all.

Ugh, this again... The best plot twist ever was when Saburou (the doggo) touched a MOPart and changed into a human. That was so funny.
Worse twist was Jirou remembering that he was a prince of Mo Continent. I mean... okay... I guess...
Idk. I had the feeling that this will be a miss from week one, but I keep getting disappointed.

 𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Majo to Yajuu (The Witch and the Beast)

They introduced "elemental mages" but honestly, when we played witches as kids, we always had superpowers. Talking to animals, controlling plans, having the element of water... 😂 Still, I think in this world it made the mage overpowered and I dislike overpowered characters.
Be exceptional but not a demigod, that's what I'm a fan of.
Helga's "backstory" was pretty interesting - people she meets died out of nowhere. Could it be the sword?
Besides, we got this gem:

The real culprit is more sophisticated than that. Turns out, it was a betrayal from inside the Corps. The story got twisted, and I really wished Helga could have her "normal girl" happiness. But to find out if she'll be freed - we have to wait for next week's episode.

 𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Pon no Michi

Despite it getting really boring and repetitive, I still can't blame the girls for dreaming about Mahjong - because we all do that. No, not dream about Mahjong. But dream about stuff we devote A LOT of time to.
I always get into puzzle - doing it all day & night and then when I close my eyes, I still see myself doing puzzle.
It's crazy, but it's... actually happening.
Izumi was looking extremely hot this episode, and I loved that we get to focus on her. Baby Izumi was so cute!

 𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Yubisaki to Renren (A Sign of Affection)

It's crazy to me how much I grew to dislike this show. It's not even funny...
I still love Yuki, and her friends. The art is still amazing, the animation quality didn't drop one bit... And the beginning of this episode was the cutest thing ever.
But something is not sitting right with me and that something it's ruining it for me. Last week I saw a spoiler from the manga that made me so upset I wanted to rage post. But I'll be civil and only talk about this episode.
Our baby girl was so excited to show everyone how to sign things around them! Her smile was EVERYTHING!

 𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

BUCCHIGIRI?!

Some people just get the best genes. For example, Asamine brothers.

[They're just so hot.]

Oh, btw. Matakara's brother is in jail.
Big news though (and no, it's not his brother getting out of jail). Remember the guy that is in love with Jasmin-chan? ...He asked for another girl. He really did go inside the Night Club and asked for someone else. Everyone was surprised! What a twist!
Beside that we get more fighting - this time Arajin gets tricked into going on a "group date". While he thinks he will loose his v-card on a beach, it turns out a group date is just a fancy name for fighting.
Matakara and Arajin end up having to fight together on one team. It kind of feels weird now (stopped being funny is what I mean) that Arajin does everything to impress Jin, while Matakara thinks their friendships is getting back on track.

[Isn't this the popular meme?]

Meiji Gekken: 1874

FINALLY they meet! Finally!
While Sumie is (surprise surprise) kill her target, our guy Origasa jumps between the guy and the gun, getting the bullet. In the chaos that starts, Sumie leaves and so the two still don't get to talk or explain the situation to each other.
They had to have everything explained by our two heroes' friends - and come on. I do get the drama and I see how painful it had to be. Even when Nakazawa seemed to step off and told Sumie she was just a mentor, and not interested in him.
Given how little time Sumie has left... Maybe it's time to talk like adults.
And the long-lasting issue continues - there is a big fire, Origasa is stabbed, we find out who killed Osanai... The episodes can be really messy...

And now to our best and worst episode of the week:

Dungeon Meshi has had a great run and I am a sucker for Senshi, so this should not be a suprise. The surprise might be Meiji Gekken, that landed last for all the previous weeks as well. It has so much potential, but it is not coming out well... That's a pity.

Week #10:

Week 10 is finally me being caught up. Well, in a way. I am week behind, which means this episode comes out while next episodes are coming out.
But I guess it's better this way, since I will avoid spoilers and also talk about things others have probably seen.
Look, this section taught me a lot - and I can't wait to talk about it in few weeks (a special episode!) For now, let's take a look at more episodes!

Hime-sama, "Goumon" no Jikan desu ('Tis Time for "Torture," Princess)

[I could never eat in front of a mirror... That would be torture.]

In the usual fashion we learn a scary fact followed with the softest, warmest explanation. Hell Lord injured his hand while... making cookies?
I have to say, once I warmed up to this stuff, I started to enjoy it. Watching the 1st lady of hell teaching her daughter how to crack an egg to make cute cookies was so fun. 😂
Or well, you can say I love Maomao-chan. That girl is too adorable.

[Romance.]

[Dad of the year, everyone.]

Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete (Gushing over Magical Girls)

Okay, okay. First of all. I got all the confirmation I needed about the start - the more stars on your body, the stronger you are. Kiwi needs to get stronger to gain stars -- while Utena has a whole another thing going on for her. Few episodes back, when she got messed up during a fight, a lot of stars appeared on her. Which now I'm sure will be an amazing twist.
Next, Leberblume really does have feelings for Loco. And Utena of course picked up on that.
Totally unrelated, the kiss did not need to be that deep, but I... am not going to complain. What followed was much much disturbing. To put it simply - I can't believe this show isn't hentai. 😂
Given that this is the 10th episode (meaning probably the last arch) and I don't know if we will get a season two (yes, please), this twist convinced me to read the manga once the anime is over:

HUGE thumbs up for leaving Alice out of the erotic trap later on. I can't tell you how much I appreciated that!
Don't even get me started on Kiwi's little three-star secret!! I think this episode deserves a win this week.

30-sai made Doutei da to Mahou Tsukai ni Nareru Rashii
(Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?!)

First, these details:

[He was tapping on no icons in this shot.]

[The bag looks like pained in Paint.]

Now a meme scene and a joke I liked:

And now a shocker: Adachi's boss wants to send him off to work at a new branch with Nagasaki. As someone who was writing gay fanfic for quite some time - that is such a cheap yet perfect way to complicate things. Seriously, I love it and also hate it at the same time.
I guess the chief did ask if he was single or not... so maybe if he tells him he has someone he loves, he will let him stay.
The thing is... Adachi likes the offer. Still, he wants to turn it down to stay with Kurosawa... but his boyfriend doesn't like that Adachi didn't even talk to him about it. And so the two argue and...
We'll see!

I know I said the bad art doesn't bother me much anymore, but this really got me:
[Look at his face. Is the budget really so low?]

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Metallic Rouge

We continue where we left off - kind of. Rouge finds herself in the middle of a fight with other... (do those robots have names?) fighting her sister. During all of that, her brother gets in danger, so Rouge doesn't quite know who to deal with first.
The fight itself was not so pretty - I didn't liked how it looked, despite it being entertaining.
Rouge manages to defeat her little sister - but it's not over for her yet. She needs to talk to Naomi.
In the second half of the episode, not only does the animation change, but Naomi too. She tells us, that she was never a human being, she is an AI. While this twist itself surprised me, I fount more interesting the addon information, that she was the first Nean.
Also, they mentioned Code Eve and I immediately went to "Eve no Jikan". I am still so happy that it's meaning is practically the same as the premise of Eve no Jikan - robots are the same as humans and they should be treated as such.

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Dungeon Meshi (Delicious in Dungeon)

I am very appreciative of Marcille having a different haircut (almost) each episode. They did her right! I love the creativity and it stays true to the want girls with long hair want - styling it in all the different ways possible.
Anyway - there was a lot of talk about taking over the Dungeon which I think will be important later, but didn't interest me now. Namari went to look for Falin which kind of made me happy and our party is ready to fight the dragon soon.
I had this feeling that the series will end, but then I remembered it's 14 more episodes. 😂
Bonus:

Next episode will be a banger.

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Gekkan Mousou Kagaku (Delusional Monthly Magazine)

The new character's name is Four Tune. oH COME ON.
This episode was surprisingly fun - thought it came late. If this was the first episode... Yum.
Four Tune turned out to be from the Mo continent as well. She revealed that it was a continent of beastmen and that she is researching it to be able to go back there. Her assistant started out as a nice guy, but became a bit obsessed with her.
He was familiar - and sure enough, her assistant is Edward Chi, the bad guy, a boss of White Pegasus. He promised Four Tune to take care of her - and when she got denied support for her research, well I guess his actions are explained.
That means there is no bad guy, and White Pegasus and Monthly Magazine are trying to do the same thing, just don't know about it.
As this anime itself said:

...but I guess it's just a tad interesting.
Oh and I nearly forgot! Four Tune has a tattoo that means that she is "Motarian" - does Jiro as a prince have one too? Because the funny-hair colored twins have them too (and Taro has it on his forehead).
I am ashamed to admit that it took me the whole episode to find out that Four Tune is actually Catherine...
So why aren't the Pegasus and the Magazine guys working together???

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Majo to Yajuu (The Witch and the Beast)

This part brought some strange twists. Helga's eyes remind me of the eye on the Demon Swords, Executioners arrive to tell the story of why Helga was carrying the sword and Helga handed the sword over as if it meant nothing.
Her home burned down - , leaving her alone to protect the sword.
Remember how I said that Helga is the prettiest witch we've seen so far? ...she really was. No, no. I'm just joking.
It was strange to me when the Demon Sword told the Executioner to not draw him, in a way he worded it... wow. It seemed out of character and made me think that the bad guy is not just bad, he must be even more evil than we thought. (And kinda stupid too.)
Power really does make a person blind.

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Pon no Michi

I know I am being repetitive - but I just love the way they dress so much.
Girls are preparing for a Christmas party this time around, and it looks like we get to see more of their cooking.
Seriously, this is such a nice change of pace in this mixture. Just girls being girls and having the time of their life. I love their friendship so much.
Makes me wanna go back in time. 😁
Haneru was amazing this episode. That girl just built a grill for them to roast a chicken on. She was simply amazing.
They managed to cook a whole four course dinner, and even got funky costumes.
[Even Chonbo got a costume!]

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Yubisaki to Renren (A Sign of Affection)

Ok, so she really does have pink eyes.
Madoka reached out, and so Yuki now has a job! She gets to help in the kitchen, which means she is slowly taking steps to be able to go on that vacation with her boyfriend.
Oushi appeared, confronting Itsuomi. And while the way he did it was strange, I (as an Oushi fan) could tell that he cares about Yuki and is worried for her.
The two of them kind of end up chatting the whole day, and Itsuomi is really just being himself - while Oushi is trying so hard to hate him.
This episode was what I needed - seeing more of Oushi, understanding him, knowing how he was feeling and why he was doing all of it. God, he deserves to be happy.

[This was so fucking sad...]

Everything that came after that sucked.
But I was finally happy with this anime.

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

BUCCHIGIRI?!

The blue-haired pretty boy whose name I forgot is mixing the card. He makes it looks like he is getting beaten and gets saved by Matakara - lying through his teeth to get what he wants.
Of course, he does pull Arajin into it and making the other get on his side.
Talking about the two boys, they finally get some time to bond. While cooking (or well preparing stuff for a party) they talk and laugh, and it made me very happy for them. Honestly... they deserve to patch things up together again.
Matakara's brother is coming home today!
Few minutes of the anime (getting said brother and waiting for him) were made with no dialogue just some piano music. The sadness of it should be the indicator that something is wrong.
My mind immediately went to death, because that's just what anime does to you. And turns out I was not that far from truth. He actually got stabbed and might not make it.
Matakara eventually finds out about Arajin's genie and he is not taking it well at all. You'd think that him learning about "Honki" people being real he'd have a different reaction... I don't want to believe that he was so naive to think Arajin was really *that* strong.
Did not expect the boys to talk like this, but I am happy they did talk! ...at least a bit.
This episode RULED from visual and psychological side. I LOVED it.
And when Matakara shot the gun... ohhhh shit is about to go down, I can feel it.

Meiji Gekken: 1874

Why did the girl have to loose her hand??? I am so utterly confused. What is happening?  And mainly, why? What did she do?
I admit, I wasn't paying 100% attention from the start but it still feels dumb to do that to her. And in 1874? She might die because of it...  Still, she didn't just stand up, she was actually shooting arrows with one hand! It was incredible, I tell you. Respect!
Origasa joined the police again, btw. And he got wrapped up in another big fight with mafia and political spies.
I don't know... this episode just did not do it for me.

And now to our best and worst episode of the week:

This week is a big surprise and I can't believe it myself... What would your best and worst be? 😊 As for the Delusional Monthly Magazine - it wasn't the best by any means when considering overall quality, animation, art... But from the point of "something happening" this had the most twists and best way of showing more of the story.
This is it's five minutes of fame. It will not be happening again.

Bonus:
[He's kinda hot...]

Week #11:
Just to check in, I will add the number of the episode we're going through this week. That way, I'll know where I stand and how many episodes/weeks are left before the big Winter finale.

Hime-sama, "Goumon" no Jikan desu ('Tis Time for "Torture," Princess)

Beach episode this time around - and I have to say I was kind of disappointed with the swimsuits presented. Yeah, I know. I'm a degenerate. But they were just not satisfyingly!
Funnily, for their torture they chose a sword fight - which.... Christ. Were they not paying attention to who the princess is???
[I loved this so much xDDD ]

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete (Gushing over Magical Girls)

You know what... I will just go on and say it: the boob animation was great this episode.

Azure really is fighting for her spot in this episode - she went to take on all the blobs from last episode and not only defeated them alone, but her clothes and overall appearance seemed different, as if she just leveled up or something.
Which again, just opens up more questions about how this world works.
I did not expect the fight go this way - nor did I expect it to be this short. Utena defeated Lord in her own way, and the girls managed to win.

However, Venalita has something planned, and you can tell by the look on Venalita's face.
Utena gets offered the position of a new boss... but she doesn't seem to happy about that.

I am so hyped to see where this will go.

30-sai made Doutei da to Mahou Tsukai ni Nareru Rashii
(Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?!)

I wish wish wish (pray even!) that this anime would look nicer. It would be such a cherry on top!
Despite not being Minato's fan, I was really sad for him when he didn't pass the dancing audition. It was so unfair - mainly when two out of three judges said he was good. You know what they say - never meet your idols. God, poor boy.
And though he made it all the way to the final round, I would argue that it was Tsuge's almost confession that made him fail. But we might not know, since Tsuge says that he learned about Minato failing online... not from talking to him. :(
I know this is simply ridiculous - but I loved that both Kurosawa and Adachi looked at the office board to see where the other was. Cute.

[Pretty boy]

Though for a moment I thought Minato took the office offer, we see him debuting as a part of a dance group now - and Tsuge gets all depressed.
Hang in there boys, this is yaoi, you'll end up together eventually!

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Metallic Rouge

So Rouge's sister is not evil - she is just hearing voices that are telling her she to kill her big sister. Wow. Everything is just getting more and more complicated.
It was pretty fast though, I have no idea what happened during this episode other than us seeing a different face to Rouge's sister and her brother being a "prisoner".
Sucky episode tbh, Metallic Rouge disappointed me.

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Dungeon Meshi (Delicious in Dungeon)

I had to stop midway, because I couldn't contain my excitement. Episode 11 was a banger and decided, that Dungeon Meshi is the best anime of the season for me. Not that it was a competition in the first place.
This is how you make a great show!
The animation was great again, the voice acting this episode was really on another level and some of the shots were so ridiculous. I knew this episode would be a banger, and it really was.
The fight with the dragon was not what I expected, and they really did pull some AoT type of sh*t on us, but I watched with my eyes open and my coffee went cold.
We also got some Falin flashbacks - and though I knew they will come (I read the Dungeon Meshi Guide), I still felt so sad about what happened. Poor babies.
The end... the end gut-punched me so hard I needed to take a five. Christ on a stick... nOOOOOOOOOOOOO

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Gekkan Mousou Kagaku (Delusional Monthly Magazine)

The most important information this episode is that Taro basically raised Jiro - he was taken by the Master of the café, and Taro helped witht the raising part. The doggo was always there, so I guess he remembers everything.
We also saw the tatoos/birth marks of everyone.
(Btw when the dog dragged Goro to Taro and Jiro (god this sounds confusing) he did not have his MOPart with him - but a minute later, he handed it to Goro.
The continent is risen now, but Catherine has a suspicious monologue and I am not sure I like it...

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Majo to Yajuu (The Witch and the Beast)

There was no need to reuse the first two minutes from last episode. We know what happened, you can't forget a "gay" kiss.
I guess the rest of the episode was fine. The fight was good, the reveal made sense and I did like Guidea and Ashaf's little stone game. Good episode overall, but it's nothing extra.
I will miss Helga though, I like that girl.
Then again, based on their dialogue it seems like Helga might stick around.

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Pon no Michi

God I'll miss these girls...
[This will be me in two weeks.]

The girls are celebrating new year's this time around. Which is a little odd to me. This anime is Original - which means it isn't adapting any manga or LN. So it feels strange for the authors to go with New Years when Easter is behind the corner. 😂
Not that I complain - I learned something new. For example, the mochi maker. I'd do the same thing as Riiche, just watching it at work.
The girls had some fine food, played Mahjong... and I had fun with them. It fills me with happiness, I want to be so carefree too!
Riiche makes a mistake and falls asleep. As we all know, there is always that one friend who draws on the other's face. And so the girls play Mahjong, and the price for a winner is drawing a whisker on Riiche's face.
However, before the final round happens... Janta dies on the girls. The table just doesn't work anymore. And in the preview of the last episode, we see Chonbo... disappearing?

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Yubisaki to Renren (A Sign of Affection)

The girls talk about relationships in a way I know them. Are you or are you not dating when the other didn't ask you? Is it important to be asked out, when you know?
Yuki went to the store and met a worker there with a mask on. While I knew this was an issue because of Corona (you know when people in news sign for the deaf? they had special masks so their lips would be visible). Thought Yuki's nervousness was really heart-breaking. You won't know the person is deaf and...
Well, this anime really hits some social issues.
Anyway! Guess who comes to the rescue? Oushi!! He helps her and asks about Itsuomi... but before Yuki can say he's a nice person, he stops her by grabbing her hand.
We can argue about his feelings or his approach to Yuki, but one thing is certain, that boy felt hard.

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

BUCCHIGIRI?!

I noticed a lot of people have the same opinion about Bucchigiri - we all have hope it will get better.
Anyway, I love this asshole:

He immediately shot our pretty boy down.
The blue "genie" fucks with Matakara's mind, making him defeat Arajin. It is a bit strange and I don't think I know what it's supossed to mean, but one thing is certain - I hate it. I don't think this is a good twist - Matakara and Arajin need to become friends again, and not go through this cheap problems.
Also, Momoka finally finds a way to get rid of Arajin through something as cheap as pretending she knows what Matakara is going through and wanting to stand by his side.
Idk man, not good.
Out of all possible fight catchphrases "I want to loose my virginity" is the worst & funniest one.

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Meiji Gekken: 1874

So Shizuma and Sumie meet, and finally talk. However, the police forces want to catch Sumie for assignation attempt. Her fiancé grabs her and runs away with her where they talk about their situation.
Sumie draws a gun to kill herself as to help Shizuma out, but he throws the gun away and hugs her. To that, Sumie says "I'm so happy to be with you!" ...bitch, why did you try to kill yourself then??
Once I figured this is the last episode, the 30 minute runtime didn't surprise me.
Some guy appears from the shadows, and tries to shoot Shizuma. Howvever, Sumie stands between them... As impressive as Shizuma's katana throw was, Sumie took the bullet and died.
Later on, Shizuma and eyepatch both individually try to kill the guy Sumie tried to kill (Hiramatsu).  In the end, they allow him to try commit seppuku - but before that, eyepatch cuts his hair - which is supposedly killing his pride. (Ehm... lame?)
After this (yup, a lot happened today) Shizuma and Shuragami fight each other looking sexy and kinda blurry.

I guess you all know who won. ...well you're wrong! The little shit they let alive grabbed a gun and shot eyepatch. Despite the would being close to heart, Shizuma insist to try and save him. Which was, of course, impossible.
That is the end.
In the ending credits we see Kamejiro (the rickshaw boy, Shizuma's friend) with Koume and their baby girl, whose name is Sumie. Awwww. And even our spy gets her end - her El Dorado was just a perfect little village hidden away from the world.
I am.... so glad it's over already.
And this was also HILARIOUS:

And now to our best and worst episode of the week:

I had hard time deciding what to choose for this.
Dungeon Meshi has been amazing from the start and is the best anime of them all... but Gushing really did what it promised. I might have been unfair.
As for the worst episode...
I was deciding between Delusional, Torture and this.... but Metallic Rouge is just such a letdown for me!

Do you agree with me?
Now that it's over - what did you think of Meiji Gekken?

Week #12:

Hime-sama, "Goumon" no Jikan desu ('Tis Time for "Torture," Princess)

This girl. I thought it was a running joke that she was "prepared" for the torture because as a girl, she was not allowed all those pleasures. But now I stopped laughing - because it's kind of sad. 😂 That poor girl had such a sad life, devoted to army.. She is really having the time of her life finally. I wouldn't be trying to run away either.
That being said, today's first torture is about a doggo - a little chihuahua that completely broke our princess.
HUGE kudos to Chikahiro Kobayashi (the VA of Ex) who did an AMAZING job this episode. He stole the show in those few lines and I was laughing so hard. 👏👏👏
Also, at the point during torture when Tortura was a kiddo, Hime totally sounded like those vocaloid girls. Talking about the kiddos - everyone changed into a kid. And they looked incredibly cute, all of them!
[If the dark lord says it, you know it's serious.]

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete (Gushing over Magical Girls)

[Their friendship is everything.]

This episode was very wholesome. Yeah, despite Utena taking a closer look at Azure's... cat. Yeah, despite everyone resting in Haruka's panties...
Korisu got herself some new toys that she wanted to try out immediately and all the girls played together. It wasn't really a fight, I'd say it was a simple game. But it was really really nice to watch.
Good episode!
I will miss this show too...

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

30-sai made Doutei da to Mahou Tsukai ni Nareru Rashii
(Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?!)

[He's gay, your honor. Look at all those plants.]

I can't believe this show is almost over and I have to pick up the manga...
Ok. Listen. It doesn't matter what any of us think of BL, this exact anime/manga or the quality of it. This episode gave me everything I wanted.
My first anime was a BL at circa 16 - there is no other way around it. I loved it. I enjoyed it. I screamed and prayed for more and needed a moment. The last two minutes? Rewatched it 4 times. Will keep rewatching it. That one kiss, where he pressed him against himself... Chef's kiss. That hand grip? THE hand grip???
I don't care about anyone's opinion. I had a blast, my dick was hard (...this is a joke I swear, I don't even have a dick) and I can't get over it.
Nothing else about this episode matters. NOTHING. Just the last two minutes...
But if you insist... Minato and Tsuge both confessed - MUCH much faster than Adachi and Kurosawa, and they talked things over and even hugged. I certainly home we will get a season 2 or something where they get their own focus, but sorry not sorry, I don't really care.
At first we see Kurosawa pitying himself and not feeling confident, being worried that Adachi will leave him. But Adachi writes him a letter where he confesses... and Kurosawa makes a little trip to Nagasaki.
There they meet, and talk about everything - and Adachi, my virgin boy, makes a bold move...
10/10 I'm sorry but... God! This episode... !!!

[This divider is pretty cute.]

Metallic Rouge

Metallic Rouge started out as a political conspiracy but changed genre in the middle of the mess that it's become.
I was hesitant whether to watch it before it even started airing, but the promise of post-apocalyptic lesbians convinced me. (I know, shallow.)
At first, it was great. But the second half is just... bad bad bad. Not because of animation, the voice acting is great too. The character design got lazy (new characters look kind of generic, which given the world of neans is a pity).
Idk.
Anyone else thinks Rouge's and Cyan's names are ridiculous? You have "kid" and name them after their hair color? 😂 Logic? Yes. Originality? No.

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Dungeon Meshi (Delicious in Dungeon)

As for this one.. Falin is back with us and I am very happy because I love her. In the gayest way possible, I want to marry her.
The resurrection seemed dangerous and I am not sure if it will end well... Of course, I know what happened but not how. So I am in for a big treat.
This episode was fine, but for some reason, I could not get into it much.
In the end, we meet another character and I hate that. I hate when you have set main characters and they randomly start throwing more for "story" "flavor" or "drama". Meh.
Bonus:

Gekkan Mousou Kagaku (Delusional Monthly Magazine)

The continent is not only rised, but they managed to get in. Our main characters remembered who they are and the doggo changed into a nice looking blonde haired man. He looks exactly how you'd think that dog would look as a human.
Finally we find out who Catherine is - or well, who Four Tune is. She is the reincarnated god, who is trying to wipe all of the humanity because humans = bad.
However, Ed is brought to her attention and suddenly she isn't sure about what she wants. After all, she does like him... But Ed helps her press the button.
This was so messy. And the whole episode, our main boys were in their "true form" so it was essentially a furry show.
But to see what will become of humanity and if they won't be wiped we have to wait.

[How some people think of themselves...]

Majo to Yajuu (The Witch and the Beast)

With the name like 'Origin Witch' you'd think the end was near. With the manga on hiatus, I was sure that the last few episodes would be it.
But let's look if it's true.
While Helga and Ashaf go their way after a witch, Guidea with her arm... broken? I think, overhears some kids talking about another witch. So naturally she asks the kids to take her to that creature.
Upon meeting an old woman, Guidea's legs freezes and she falls to the ground. It's not her who's the witch though, it's Angela - one of the kids. That is the witch that cursed our Guidea and Ashaf gets a black envelope, signaling that he knows where to go and what to do now.
Their game of cat & mouse begins...

Pon no Michi

They really hit us with a sad music right from the start.
Janta is officially dying and Chonbo still not waking up. The girls (Riche still with the whiskers) are trying to come up with a solution and my only worry is if Chonbo gets reincarnated after their do repair it one day.
The girls decide to play manually... and seem to ignore Chonbo wholly... which... hello? You'd remember a sparrow, right??? [He did say sike, later tho...]
But it all seemed like Nashiko's memory... who is now on a train in her school uniform. And she does not look happy... We find out that Riche and Haneru aren't coming over as much because they are busy with school.
Listen. I did not need this sad end of the series. What the hell.. Why couldn't they end it on a happy note and maybe tease us with a second episode like usually? Why did they have to gut-puch me and my girls???
I loved how the repair of the table repaired everything. Their little talk about splitting the 20,000 yen bill was so funny - the girls said they will help paying because the parlor belongs to all of them and I wheezed. Way to go, girls. That's how you get your hands on someone else's property!

My reaction to maybe getting a second season...

Yubisaki to Renren (A Sign of Affection)

The duo went out for a date Yuki picked out for them. The art this episode is crazy good, the flowers and background were crazy good and the closeup of the almost kiss was incredible.
This show really went all out on the finale. The tips of their fingers were pink too! (I know, that's in all the episodes.)
I have to say, I thought this episode overdid itself, it was incredibly amazing if we're talking visuals. And of course the way they communicate healthily is just incredible. Not being afraid of talking, saying no and going through risky things... Good job, babies.
We did learn about Itsuomi more - why he loves traveling and how he grew up in Germany. You know my opinion. I was bored.
Thought when he played with the kids... It really warmed my heart... It was so cute.
The ending thought... Yuki getting her passport... And when Shin and Emma said they're going on a date??? And Kyoya gave Rin a ring???? Christ. My heart...! But at the same time, it almsot feels like there won't be another season after all.

BUCCHIGIRI?!

It is such a shame for Bucchigiri to start getting interesting this late... If this doesn't have a second season, I consider this show a waste of my time.
It could be soo good, and it is incredibly fun but... it's just not enough and it is too late.
The show defines an important thing - once the "genie" takes over your body, you're as good as dead. And with what's going on with Matakara and Arajin... it does not look good for either of them.
Matakara changes - though he has been changing for a while now. He is beating guys just for bumping into him and even his friends notice that something is not good.
Even our guy is back to being with Jasmine-chan!! Or well, he tried to be... but she is booked for the day. Such tragic story!
Matakara and Marito get in a fight during which Matakara gets possesses by his genie. The last few episodes were really great!

This is biased and not at all fair.

btw. Someone remind me to check on A Sign of Affection in a few years. Just to see what will happen... And also remind me to watch Cherry Magic as Live action. I heard it's good.

Week #13:

Hime-sama, "Goumon" no Jikan desu ('Tis Time for "Torture," Princess)

The first anime we're saying 'Goodbye!' to is 'Tis Time... Which got a second season confirmed shortly after finishing airing! I am still unsure whether I want or don't want to watch it... but for now, I put it on my PTW.
Last episode is focused on Vanilla and Ice skating. To tell the truth, it was heartwarming to see her parents so hyped that their daughter made a friend - even going as far as booking a whole rink for a 'private event'.

Part of me grew to like the mix of historical clothing and the modern clothing, or well, rather the mix of historical and modern overall. It feels fresh to me!
It might have been the very emotional week I had, but I felt really sad for Vanilla when she almost fell on the rink. Poor girl just wanted to hang out with her first-ever friend...
The later part has a 'class change' vibe. But thankfully, all torturers stay with Hime and the second season might continue without a change in the cast.

I love that woman...
That's where the end should be. Instead we got a little bonus, of Dark Lord and Hime being isekai-ed into another world. Demon Lord explains how he saved the world, while Ex breaks the 4th wall with his little comments... and they manage to go back to their world to play basketball.
What a pitiful ending...

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete (Gushing over Magical Girls)

Another very disappointing goodbye we got from Gushing... While the swimsuits looked somehow cute, the episode itself looked... half-baked at placec.
Expecting to continue and have a great finale or go with another problem to tease a possible second season...! That would be the end!
But instead we got a beach episode...
What I found surprising was how easily Sayo (Azure) talked to Utena depite the massage scene. But ok, girl.
I do LOVE LOVE LOVE Utena, that girl grew on me so much. She is stupid, but she is good stupid! And the way she became a real boss, giving orders and looking so cool... Christ, Utena...!
I did enjoy the new upgraded forms:

Also, these two... They are dumbasses made for each other. But Utena's chemistry with Sayo... Hmmmm. Who to root for?

Last thing: I am living for Sulfur's friendship with Kiwi.

30-sai made Doutei da to Mahou Tsukai ni Nareru Rashii
(Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?!)

This episode was a mix of everything - good and bad art, good and bad moments, fun jokes. Adachi decides to go to Nagaski after all - but that is not important. What's important is that they talk.
A lot. They have a healthy communication and Kurosawa is supportive of his boyfriend. I really love to see that. Ironically, Adachi had bigger character development than some of other characters this season so, haha and well done!
The end was the sweetest thing ever and I loved it. It doesn't seem like there will be a sequel ever, but I am happy with what we got, I think it was great.
Following will be bonus screenshot that are spoiler free, for more, visit my IG.

Metallic Rouge

At this point, I don't even know how this will end. To be perfectly honest, I don't think I know what the story is about anymore tbh.
We are kind of circling around the Code and Law and how the means need to start making their own choices. In span of all of that, Rouge gets stabbed and it seems like it could be the end for her.
Naomi doesn't help her, making me feel like she betrayed for the second time. Even when she tries to go get her... I lost all my hope in Naomi, she moved to the naughty list.
I have little hopes that the finale next week will blow our minds.

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Dungeon Meshi (Delicious in Dungeon)

I think this episode is the start of another arc. We meet the dark elf again, and find out what they can do and who they are - at least so some extent.
While Chilchuck wants to go back home, not ready to get himself killed after Falin disappeared (or was take away), something breaks and he stays with his party.
Falin... on that topic, we now know that something is wrong with her after all, and while the show isn't telling us what, I am worried about her.
I really hoped she would be herself and things would go a different direction... but in the end, maybe something greater is waiting for us.
Both Chilchuck and Senshi try to talk some sense into Laois, and I don't get it. I have two siblings and while they get on my nerves, I would die for them. So to hear Laois say "Let's head back" was a huge surprise and... I am doubtful that's what's going to happen.

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Gekkan Mousou Kagaku (Delusional Monthly Magazine)

Finally, it's over.
I still can't take them seriously in their "real form" and the way this is ending is simply ridiculous.
While our Scientist and Ed are disappearing slowly, the main characters are just chatting around, panicking a little because they want to stop the process. Even Four Tune seems to be having cold feet.
And wouldn't you guess it - the only way to stop this "humanity being destroyed" is sinking the continent, or in other words giving up on their home.
I am honestly surprised at Saburou, who would become a dog after they sunk the continent... But oh well, if they're okay with it...
The whole episode was awful - just like the series.

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Majo to Yajuu (The Witch and the Beast)

As excited as I am for the end, and will be all fidgety until the next episode, this arc is somehow boring. I don't care too much for it.
We do take a trip to past, to the very beginning of Guideau and Ashaf's (mate? friend?) ship.
If the finale will end up like this part.. I am going to have a serious problem.
Boring!

BUCCHIGIRI?!

I am honestly living for Senya and Ichiya's backstory. I am not saying I would watch it if it was a spin-off but for Bucchigiri?! it's pretty interesting.
Their backstory is the reason why Arajin cannot merge with him anymore. But with Matakara being all messed up...
Their backstory makes a lot of sense. Unlike Matakara's. Just like Ichiya's backstory came 2/3 episodes after he appeared, Matakara and his friends had 11 of them to make us cry. Now with all that's happening... I want to know what will happen, not how much his friends miss him.
What I didn't expect was Matakara fighting and even humiliating his "clan boss". That was a big surprise.
But then again, I have no idea where this show is going so, ok. After teasing it for this long, last episode will not be any conclusion or fast forward to their lives 10 years after, it will probably just be them fighting.

Week #14:

Metallic Rouge

Not being accepted very well, the finale of the show that promised so much fell flat for me too.
While the opening is a banger, the repetitiveness of symbols, soundtracks and message this wanted to pass on to us make you easily forget the good about it.
When this started, I thought I didn't understand it and that's why my view of it was so shitty I felt like some episodes were.. empty.
But now I can say, it wasn't me - it was the show. They messed up. In many ways.
The end, the cries for help, another change and more time together were that piece of humanity I love in these futuristic shows. But since my opinion changed, I couldn't enjoy it as much as I wanted.
In the end, the Freedom that was promised was ruined by a virus... Sike. What could be a twist and a way to introduce another season was resolved by one of the people being prepared and creating an antivirus in preparation.
What was promised was not delivered. Which means... this will either get a second season or we are stuck with a "bad" ending. Either way, I do not care anymore.
They had 12 episodes to leave an impression and they left a bad one.

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Dungeon Meshi (Delicious in Dungeon)

By now the second group has grown to me a bit. Mainly their leader and Rin. I could get used to them!
But to others too. Just with a bit of time. For now, they're still kind of confusing me.
I wish we had more focus on Falin - that girl has barely any screen time and she is really important right now.
But if the anime is following manga properly, I do understand why all this "side" stories & characters have to have their screen time.
Plus, they did talk about our main party and gave us some insight at who they think they are. Parts of that were funny, parts annoying... in the end I'm sticking with not liking them. 😂
Guess who's back though! "Young master" Shin! The one that proposed to Falin!
And who would have guessed it... his party is full of beautiful women!!

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Majo to Yajuu (The Witch and the Beast)

Jesus Christ, he just shot a kid in the first minute of the show. Ashaf you beast. 😂
(But then again, it was actually an executioner, so all good?)
I am studying history so I am familiar with some concepts of how the world used to work back then. Yet, seeing someone just burn a house and kill a kid is not something I can get over easily. So even though it is just an anime, I felt really weak and small.
As far as the endings of the shows go, this one was filled with the most action. (And has the biggest potential to get a second season hypothetically...)
As much as I struggled through this, in the end, it wasn't half bad. Though the last episode explained a few things that should have been explained a WHILE ago.

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

BUCCHIGIRI?!

Another backstory... this time from the time Arajin and Matakara became friends. I already said what I think about these backstories. They should come at a good time, so they can grow on us.
But for this one, I might make an exception because the comparation of happy childish faces and two young boys who are going to fight each other... It really does give me the feels.
Obligatory Jasmin-chan's scene this time almost felt like a proposal. It was her birthday! When I tell you that I learned Jasmin is actually a cat and it's not a nightclub but something like a cat café... I was freaking disappointed. More than I was disappointed in anything in this anime.
Points down! 😂
Merging this time around was really amazing. Instead of loosing virginity, Arajin wished for Matakara to wake up and their merging resulted in Senya and Ichiya fighting each other in the bodies of our two main boys. I enjoyed the fight! A lot! The animation was great, the teasing of the fighting did it's job and got me excited and even though I knew what would happen, I held my breath to the very end.
Of course, giving Ichiya an illness to make it even more dramatic by saying he wanted to die by Senya's hands did not work out. But in the end, all's well ends well. And
Oh my god, Arajin became a honki person!!! awwww
I'm saying goodbye with: They should have made them gay.

[Me, when college]

Little bonus:

Yami Shibai 12 (Theatre of Darkness)

I picked this up a few weeks ago, too late to track it properly. I binged the first 10 episodes and then watched the last one separately.
This season was really weak in my opinion, the earlier seasons had more of a spooky feel - this season felt like stuff that can't happen to just anyone - and that took my horror experience away.
