Spring 2024 - Last Episodes

New Season, new Anime. Let's take a dive in Spring 2024!
In Spring 2024 we will focus on these shows:

As you can see, Spring 2024 was PACKED!! That's why this season, we're doing this a little bit differently...
We are covering 19 shows this time around - and in this post we will look at the last episodes of each anime and talk about my overall feeling, best and worst features, how the story was handled and we will cover the typical review points - Story, Animation, Art, Characters, Music, Entertainment Value and "Conclusion". In other words, whether I do or don't recommend the series.
As for the dropped series, I will give you a reason why I dropped it at the bottom of this post.

For this post, I will address the last episodes that aired for each anime, provide some bonus screenshots, give you my idea of the best and worst features of each shows were and we'll do a speedrun review.
In which I'll shorty address story, art, animation, characters, music and overall entertainment value I was left with.

And next week (if everything goes smooth) we will give out some seasonal awards!

Let's get into it!

(Studio Apartment, Good Lighting, Angel Included)

Episode 12

12th episode was a second part of previous "Camp" episode and a cute short story about what Towa and Shintaro mean to each other.
As for the camp episode, the girls and Shintaro tried to summon a devil and their little success foreshadowed more characters and that they might join the occult club together.
And the second part was more laid back, with Towa in yukata, going to a sky tree.

[Sleepy eyes Towa, and a little 4th wall break]

The two went out to have fun and almost separated, which made them realize how important they became and how lucky they are to have not only each other but also their other friends.

Not much happened, but it was sweet and reflected the whole series perfectly, so I won't complain about it at all. A nice finale to a mediocre show.

Bonus:

BEST feature

Cute girls, comedy, 4th wall breaks.

This anime does not offer much. Actually, nothing happens at all. But given that this is Slice of Life, might have gotten just enough of everything.
Since episode 1 cute girls were introduced to us, all with different personality, all likeable and all giving something special to us, viewers.
Shintaro is good character as well, not your usual harem boy. He is very respectful, trying to keep still & steady even in difficult moments...

I loved all of them, at one point. Though I have my favorites, none of the characters was bad(ly written). And likeable characters are a key to success - because with them, you laugh at almost everything.
Jokes were flowing, they were working and the way Matoba (original creator) bent the rules of being a supernatural being (e. g. Lilishka not drinking blood without permission) was very entertaining.
Not to mention seeing Noel finding friends, Hisui getting comfortable around people and boys, Towa being her usual self while exploring new things...

And my favorite 4th wall breaks were just added bonus.

WORST feature

Story
- 2/10
- what story?

Animation
- 5/10
- golden middle ground. Nothing too amazing and nothing too bad.

Art
- 6/10
- I didn't like the faces, but I like the character design and some of their clothes.

Characters
- 8/10
- Noel is my queen, absolute cutie with weird catchphrases. Towa is an adorable angel girl that surprisingly left the smallest impression and weirdly didn't stick out at all. And Tsumugi my woman, the only human girl who pins for our MC like crazy and is very very funny.
Those are the only characters worth mentioning and as you can see, there is not much to say about them.

Music
- 4/10
- Not opening or ending are memorable. And I don't like the sound of them either.

Entertainment Value
- 6/10
- Boring, not very entertaining, sometimes funny and the only saving matter is the girls. That's all this show offers. Might work as a manga but failed as an anime.

Shuumatsu Train Doko e Iku? (Train to the End of the World)

Episode 12

The ending for me was anticlimactic. I am not sure what caused it exactly, but I call it a mix of things. The finale was delayed by a bit, so getting back tot he last episode had be confused for the first few seconds of the anime.
The conclusion of the story was good, I think they did what they needed to do and it worked. But I couldn't shake the feeling that the anime was building something great only to... give us something mid.

I am a sap though, so when this final lines came on, I was sold on loving it regardless.

The thing is, it felt hurried at times. Yet, when I thought "this should happen", it did. But then again, it was resolved too quickly.
And then, I cannot forgive guy Pochi and what they did with him. :(

With how the finale ended, there is a slight chance to get a second season that  might bring some other unexplained occurrences. 7G was "canceled" but it didn't work on 100%, which means Michiko Yokote could potentially give us more in the future.

At the same time, I am worried it would not be a good sequel.

BEST feature

The general idea. The writing could have holes sometimes, and the conclusions wee sometimes stupid... but the setup was great.
Giving us over 10 unique problems that girls had to tackle, showing us girl power of those kids and coming up with 7G as a concept was very fun and held me excited about the show from the start.

WORST feature

Story
- 10/10
- I explained this already, I love bizarre stuff, I love when you go crazy and bend rules however you want. Youka's plot twist was very good, the different "curses" of each stop the girls made were never "bad" and the anime set itself up for more.
So until I am not sure there won't be a second season, I am not taking points down for not answering the rest of the question we were left with.

Animation
- 8/10
- CGI. Other than that, great animation, it looked good.

Art
- 7/10
- I have certainly seen better. I know when you go crazy like this, it takes a lot of effort and energy. I did like the visuals, I did like the girls, I had fun watching it... but it didn't give me the wow effect.

Characters
- 6/10
- Very generic characters. You can tell their whole personality by their looks. The only saving point is the girl's age - that excused their actions and some of the conflict that were taking a lot to resolve.

Music
- 10/10
- The opening is freaking hilarious and I keep humming it every now and then. The ending is very sweet and sounds really good. Quality right here.

Entertainment Value
- 8/10
- It is one of the better shows I've seen. Not brilliant and not hitting any major charts, but it gives you some funny moments, some drama, plenty of cute girls... It's a good watch that you can bindge in one night!

Hananoi-kun to Koi no Yamai (A Condition Called Love)

Episode 12

Last episode was reserved for the backstory - smol Hananoi and Hotako. The thing is... the backstory came at the right time. All of those 11 episodes had to happen for it to make an impact.
But to be completely fair, it still felt out of place and didn't make me feel happy and fluffy as romance anime should make me feel.
For that, and for my overall disappointment I have to say this anime was lacking until the very end.

I will give it points for the two buying "promise rings". That was adorable.

BEST feature

The premise.
Unfortunately, the story that was not executed well at all was the most interesting. Seven Days did an amazing job giving us "strangers to lovers through try dating" and it made me love love love the manga and the movies very much.
A Condition Called Love failed to keep me interested even during 1st episode.

WORST feature

Story
- 7/10
- The idea good, the execution bad. Didn't make me feel excited, didn't make me want to cheer on them, and I could not care less when they finally kissed.

Animation
- 8/10
- It was pretty decent, with some times being outright lazy.

Art
- 5/10
- Golden Middle Ground, nothing that will still with me but it's definitely not bad.

Characters
- 5/10
- The female MC is your average "I never considered love being a real emotion" and the guy MC is "dating because I desperately want someone to love me". Cliché and done over and over again by now.
The supporting childhood friend is OBVIOUSLY a boy who had/has feelings for her. No originality there.

Music
- 8/10
- Good opening, good ending. A bit cheesy, to be honest, but they are bops.

Entertainment Value
- 6/10
- Again, not the best but not the worst. I managed to stick with it, but I would not watch it for a second time. If you are trying to look for a good romance, you are better off looking somewhere else.

Episode 13

Finale gives us a more of a slice of life episode. The Class Captains are mostly hanging out while pretending to "have a meeting".
But the second part of the episode was sort of a new arc introduction - Sakura's classmate Anzai got beaten up and we learn that he has troubles with his childhood friend who is - for some reason - associated with KEEL. KEEL appears to be a gang group, the opposite of Furin.

And you know what follows. Sakura gives himself a new goal - solve the situation and help his classmate.
But for that, we will have to wait for second season.

BEST feature

This anime looks incredibly good. The art(style)is one of the best looking, because it's simple, it's fun and playful. I really enjoyed the animation, the fighting was animated really great. And even if some of the scenes didn't look sharp, they made up for it in the important scenes.

WORST feature

Story
- 8/10
- Simple and interesting - A bullied kid who likes fighting decided to become a top fighter, but find out on the way that he won't make it alone and needs the support of his new friends. That changes him and we see him slowly get used to having friends, being surrounded by people and growing as a person.

Animation
- 10/10
- It looks good, the animation is very smooth - Wind goes whish-wash and that worked for Haikyuu and it works for WIND BREAKER too.

Art
- 10/10
- Again, very good! I loved the character designs, and the choices for voice actors who did a good job selling all of them. The uniforms, the designs, the backgrounds.... the classes, and shops, and food.... this really is quality.

Characters
- 7/10
- I will miss Leonardo DiCaprio the most.
But I fell in love with all the characters - even the minor ones we saw only for a few seconds. I hated the orange team - which is well job done to the creators. KEEL also looks like they will be an interesting bunch, so I am excited to see what they bring.

Music
- 10/10
- I loved the opening since day 1, the animation for it is very funky. And it gives a good look of all the main characters. The ending is basically the same story.

Entertainment Value
- 8/10
- WIND BREAKER is not perfect because nothing is. But I think it deserves a pretty solid rating. It gave us everything it promised us, so what more can I wish for?  It's one of those shows that make you want to see more - and what a luck, Season 2 was announced immediately!
So we have a lot to look out for in the future!

Episode 13

The girls are getting exposure and their charts are rising... but their song is not hitting the marks and the girls' tickets are not selling.
Which makes Momoka pull away, since she is blaming herself.

At the same time,  Diamond Dust's very own singer (Nina's past fried) reaches out to Nina, talking about the tickets not selling and wanting to help with that.
In other words, the show is packed with drama to the very end.

The girls decided to leave the agency... which I didn't understand, even if they have their reasoning.

BEST feature

The hidden message of always having to be true to yourself and pushing through. The message of owning up to yours real self and

WORST feature

Story
- 6/10
- You know those stories that seem pretty straightforward but take you on a journey, where you have to discover yourself once again? This is one of them.
Connecting with the girls, you connect with your past, and realize how difficult growing up and chasing your dreams can be. "It won't happen to me." That's a line that all of us want to use when someone is warning us about the difficulties that will come with our goals in the future. But everyone meets a problem that is hard to solve, a wall that seems too high to climb over...
That being said, friends are always there to lend you a hand and pull you over the wall, supporting you.

Animation
- ???/10
- It's a whole new take for sure. It was something that made e me drop it before the anime aired... but the story just seemed too interesting. I am glad I tried it, and I am opening up to CGI a bit... but I still have some problems with it. Overall, I got used to it and accepted it, with no hard feelings. It didn't change my opinion or view on the anime at all, it's just a n n on anything, it was just a part of it.
Anyway, the animation for opening is what I was hoping to get, the girls looked much better that way... but, Toei experiments a lot and this time t payed off.

Art
- 8/10
- The girls look incredibly good. Their art (in the opening and ending sequences) look really incredible, I like their character design and the backgrounds are done well too.

Characters
- 7/10
- All the girls have their own problems and their own issues that they need to tackle ion their way to reaching their dream and becoming who they want to be. Its difficult, facing yourself, but they manage to get there little by little, making the most of their new life and their new friendships... and in the end, I think they have all the reason to be proud of themselves.

Music
- 6/10
- My only problem is that hey had one song they used for everything all the time. For music anime, that seemed like  a waste and a problem.
I'm counting this to sound/music as well:
When Nina was feeling on edge, there was a bomb-ticking sound in the background.

Entertainment Value
- 8/10
- Being experimental works sometimes, and even thought it won't get all 10s on the board, it does good enough job to make people like this story and watch this naime, giving it good marks.
I am very glad I picked this up...

Yoru no Kurage wa Oyogenai (Jellyfish Can’t Swim in the Night)

Episode 12

The last episode really put an end to it all. In the best way possible.
Our girls had their live gig, where they managed to approach 50 000 people.

But what's more, they managed to find themselves. Yoru finally loves her art, Kano found a closure with her mom, Kiui owned herself and Kimura realized that she is not alone anymore and that she has someone who loves her and is her friend.
The girls went through a rollercoaster of emotions - but in the end it was all worth it, and they took a first step to the right future that is waiting for them.

I loved the little detail that all the characters were waving us goodbye. Cute!

BEST feature

The modern feel. It's a coming of age anime for those who are coming of age in these modern times. It shows how helpful and how bad social media can be for us, it shows how difficult young people can have it. It addresses the feelings of not being enough, not loving yourself properly or finding your hobbies your doom rather than joy when your life seems to be "over".

I think this show is very important it his matter.
Little shows make me feel like the story is set in 21st century - and for someone who is online a lot and finds escape in the internet world, they managed to tackle the problems well.

WORST feature

Story
- 10/10
- Four girls that are connected with their talents and feeling small set out to prove something to everyone and themselves. Though creating a JELLE, they have to face their dreams, nightmare and all the problems it brings.
Sounds simple, will break your heart at times.

Animation
- 10/10
- Nothing to say here, except maybe that the little JELLE and Sunflower Dolls PC animation looked pretty good. The VTuber model too. It looked horrid to me, which it does in real life too, so I am happy.

Art
- 9/10
- It looked good, sometimes it looked ridiculous. We got funny faces and that little "Yoru from another manga" moment... The character design was really great - I loved their hair, I loved their fashion and I appreciate that the way the girls dressed really showed their inner personas.

Characters
- 10/10
- Kano spoke to me the most. Trying to find yourself, trying to please your mother even if you know that the relationship is not working, trying to give your feelings a form you could show the world... Yoru was just as important. Trying to love herself and the art she was creating are problems I tackle every day and sometimes it's killing me.
With characters this relatable, you cannot hate any of them. Because you will find something in all of them. Even the minor characters, and even the "villains".

Music
- 5/10
- Neither the opening nor the ending stuck with me, and the songs the girls presented as JELEE didn't leave much impression either. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't something I would listen to in my free time.

Entertainment Value
- 10/10
- I will repeat it as many times as needed - the modernity of it was it's biggest strong side. Making it believable, making it relatable, making us feel heard & seen. That's what it's all about.
But beside that, tackling the everyday problems of young girls was done right. I think there might be people who relate to all of the girls - and what a wonderful experience this must be then.

Sentai Daishikkaku (GO! GO! Loser Ranger!)

Episode 12

Another backstory, this time from 13th years ago on the fighter's island. It blew my mind SO much. They really gatekeeped for 12 episodes how the fighters came to life?? And that they were all just "kidnapped" and brought to the island, taken away from their past life, loosing their identities.
It's insane how good it works!!

And it looks like the monster from the first episode, the lion or whatever, was D himself!

Blue Keeper keeps us on our toes to the very end, when Peltrola appears. Things get messy and they get pretty darn interesting once again!
And towards the very end, we see a new mysterious figure... or are they really?

BEST feature

The characters. I had so much fun getting to know all of them and finding my top "next keeper generation". I loved The main trio (that turned into Fighter D alone).  I cannot wait to see what more there is and how they'll face it, fighting for their own goals and dreams.

WORST feature

Story
- 10/10
- Fighter D - a member of "the bad guys" gets fed up with how unfair the world is to Fighters and how belittled they are by the Rangers. So he decided to fight the rangers and make the world a place he loves ad enjoyers. A place, where he can be himself.
During that little plan, he meets Yumeko and Sakurama, who help him with his goal for different reasons.

Animation
- 10/10
- Even with the CGI aspects that are very much different from the regular animation, it looks very good. The adlib on the end with plushies of the main characters is really fun as well. Fighting looks good, their eyes are telling stories and they even have dramatic hair animation! I'm very excited about the quality of this anime.

Art
- 10/10
- Funny but not exaggerated design for the characters is the best combination. All of the main characters look different, but none of them has a style that could never work out in the real life. They look pretty, their eyes are amazing features.
Aside from that, the other things are drawn prgood as well - buildings, base, arenas... I am very pleased with the overall world.

Characters
- 10/10
- Of course you get some generic characters. But in this case, that's where the comedy lies. The personalities of the rangers.. sorry, Dragon Keepers are exactly what you think based on their colours. I love love love it.
Other than that, we have Yumeko who hides more than they could fit in 12 episodes, Fighter D who is playing a character the whole time so we don't know who he really is. background characters that offer a lot in the future (I am pretty damn sure they will have their time to shine) and Sakura, who disappeared in a way that makes you think Sentai Daishikkaku will surprise us even more than it did up to this point.

Music
- 10/10
- Prefect opening and brilliant ending, that are both fun and catchy. I hate the CGI dancing, because it looks too weird, but I still jam to it.

Entertainment Value
- 10/10
- Very interesting take on a Power Rangers parody, in a world that is not explained yet and hides a lot of secrets that will shape the story more and more with each episode/chapter. Unique world, where the good guys are bad and the bad guys want to change the world for the better.
Good comedy with pretty confusing dramatic parts at time.
Oh please, season 2, be just as good!

Episode 12

Ok, I finally understand what's happening. The whole point of the first half of the anime was to get accustomed to the girls and the world - so they could bring the real plot in the last... what, 3 episodes? The apocalyptic slice-of-life CGDCT anime turned into "saving our friend from being kidnapped because we love her".

I have not played the game so I am judging it solely on my anime experience.

BEST feature

Characters, art and animation. This anime looks and sounds good - if you can appreciate that, you can forgive that it's messy in it's storytelling.

WORST feature

Story
- 2/10
- It did not work out. You can't just switch genres halfway through and expect everyone to catch up, mostly when you don't explain the basics about the world you set the story in.

Animation
- 10/10
- It looks damn good tough. Very good in quality, in smoothness of the characters, in movement. The gun animation and fighting was really well done.

Art
- 10/10
- The colors weren't flat, they mixed together good, the design for the characters was simply incredible. Yu cannot dislike any of the girls, they just look soo good. And the guns they each have fit their design and characters (I assume), so no complaints there.

Characters
- 10/10
- This is the strongest asset. They look adorable, the voice actors are doing a great job, all of them are different and most of them are stereotypical. In this case it's the best decision to make, because you know exactly who to focus on and who will be your best girl for the rest of the series.

Music
- 7/10
- Also no problem. Good opening and ending, the background music was always really good. The soundtrack sounds great and is definitely one of those you can listen to while you're doing some other work.

Entertainment Value
- 6/10
- While being far from awful, the anime is set on "you should know how it works already" mindset that makes it hard to understand and connect to the story. For that, I have to take points down because I feel like I spend hours watching nothing, while looking at pretty girls shoot bad guys.
It's a pity. I had big hopes for this, and I am leaving disappointed.

Conclusion mixed feelings 💫

Episode 12

Last episode finished the drama from episode 11. Aoto explained that his body produces a lot more pheromones that causes problems for alphas and him all the time. His speech about being worried for his kiddo because he is the only one who can protect him and mentioning how difficult it was to try to have a child was very touching.

It must be rather difficult to let your child ho, even when you know he might get hurt. But that's life.

After that, we got more Yuki/Matsu content and another Christmas. It was a nice flashback, when Hikari called out that he is the start. I was surprised I remebered it from the first episode.

And then this happened:

I don't know. Something tells me I should read the manga, just to see where these relationship will lead to...

BEST feature

The best feature must be the omegaverse itself. Thanks to putting the story and characters in that setting, there is place and space for all kinds of drama, relationships and future problems that might arise.
I read omegaverse fanfictions back in the day so I, compared to that, this universe and it's rules seem a bit off and different than what I am used to normally.

WORST feature

Story
- 5/10
- There is not one story, but many many problems and experiences of everyday day of the little family. Alpha and a omega with their kids going through issues of various kind. Very slice of life, you laugh you cry... It does keep a person entertained though.

Animation
- 5/10
-  It wasn't terrible but it wasn't great either. Still figures with one limb moving the same way for two minutes. Using drawn pictures with voiceover. Freezing frames or talking over sleeping babies. Meh.

Art
- 7/10
- Nothing extra. They look good, but some of the characters look very alike. (When I was reading manga, I couldn't tell Hiro from Yuki.) The colors are making a difference, and it does look nice. But it's not ground-breaking.

Characters
- 10/10
- This is finally the IT moment. I never cared much for our main four. But their family and friends?? I love Yuki and Masaki, the teased fight between twins to be with Aoto made me want to read the manga, even Hiro's dad was a riot.
Good characters that I want to cheer on in the future. 😁

Music
- 5/10
- Neither the opening or the ending stuck with me, and that says a lot. It wasn't memorable, their animation was not much either.

Entertainment Value
- 7/10
- Taidaima, Okaeri made history.... but it won't be talked about too much. As a first omegaverse, you would expect something great, you'd expect a banger since they finally decied to adapt a story like this.
But it wasn't a banger. It was a regular yaoi romance show, just with the added element of AU.

Not groundbreaking does not equal bad though. So if you like romance, drama and want to see something new... go for it. It's good.

Episode 12

Oscar goes back in time, meets little Tinasha, and he tries to save her. However that means a total set back, since he comes back to a different "present".
I don't know. The set back is kind of a weird plot. And it doesn't help with how they rushed the first love story. That is kinda disappointing - because if we fell in love with them properly, I would care more about them or their relationship.
(Am I the only one who thought him kissing the 13th year old Tinasha was weird?)

This way, I guess I can only dream they will do their love story better....

Also, can we talk about the first universe Tinasha lost Oscar and she will never see him again???

Story
- 10/10
- The incredible set up of a story about a cursed prince and witch that is the only one who can help... That's what we were supposed to get, that's what gets a 10/10.
The story the anime gave us.... I don't even know what they gave us. 0/10.

Animation
- 8/10
- It looked good, no issues on my side.

Art
- 8/10
- It looks good. The world, the magic, the clothes (design)... everything looks really really good. That is a saving point, kind of. Makes me really want to see or read about the characters in the original form.

Characters
- 6/10
- I love the main duo so so much. Tinasha and Oscar are such babies. However. That is it. There is no one else to love, no one else to get to know in the way they introduced them.
The show did it to itself.

Music
- 7/10
- Good opening and ending, the atmosphere music was pretty cool too, matched the vibe of the show. I liked it, but it's not something I will remember for too long.

Entertainment Value
- 0/10
- This show gave us nothing but dreams. I am upset and disappointed and I cannot believe they would do this to us. And what's more, their LN fans!
But then again, they might be happy for any kind of adaptation, even this horrid.

Boukyaku Battery (TV) (Oblivion Battery)

Episode 12

The finale is dedicated to the end of their game, with most of the backstories explained. Kei's personality is still all over the place, which makes it harder.
Besides that, the finale gives us a really important chat between the Battery themselves.
It wasn't a great finale, but it was okay. I just wish there was more... or that some questions would be answered properly.

But we got Kei's promise that he will work hard to get better.

BEST feature

The comedy. From the catch phrases, to the visual comedy, to the timing... It's the best feature because it gives us more entertainment out of Oblivion Bettery's main story and a way to filter all the heartbreak we get while watching the boys and their past.

WORST feature

Story
- 10/10
- I am a sports anime fan, because it's always giving us more than we can imagine. Deep characters, sad backstories that show us we're never alone, hate-love relationship and many new friendships. It gives us unique humor and fun catchphrases, it explains rules of a game we suddenly want to play forever.
I haven't watched a sports anime that sucks yet! And this one is definitely up there on the list of the best ones!

Animation
- 10/10
- I remember posting gifs from the very first episode, when I was pissing my pats laughing at how stupid this show is. They animated the jokes in such a silly way, but even the silly way shows good work that goes into it.

Art
- 7/10
- I like the 90ties feel of this show, that gives it a character. They have crazy designs, hair-wise that makes me laugh.

Characters
- 8/10
- Generic, but we know that in anime that's sort of a key to success. The black haired one is quiet and very serious, his fair-haired second half is a little goof, the only one who can handle the first one. A cat boy, a nerd/otaku and the one with difficult backstory that is keeping him from giving it his best. The narrator and the background characters from the past that all will matter in the future.

Music
- 10/10
- Fun opening, and fun ending. They use music as a way to play into the cmedic relief, and they use music for soft moments that you should cherish. The way they work music into the certain parts of the story really makes you get more into it.

Entertainment Value
- 8/10
- I would once again like to thank Mamoru Miyano for doing an amazing job with the character of Kei. He helped to boost my opinion of this show by a LARGE number. He was hilarious! But beside him, the story itself would do just well. Like I said, you can't go wrong with a sports anime. And this one hits all the marks on the chart.

I was not one bit surprised when they decided to resolve Yumiko's voice acting issues in the last episode and IMMEDDIATELY introduced a new problem. And what's more, the problem is jealousy AGAIN. This anime is so predictable and so boring, I can't wait to be forever over with this.
I was giving it second, third, fourth changes all over again, but it always let me down more and more.
What a waste of my time.

Story
- 3/10
- I have the same problem like I had with Unnamed Memory. You create a story that is interesting and can teach you something about voice acting... and you ruin it with awful characters with no development and story that does not follow any kind of story structure. It was boring, blunt, the drama was collection of a five minute problems that they never spoke about again. That's not have you make a successful anime.

Animation
- 7/10
- This might be the only solid part of the anime. Which is very very disappointing. They could have done so much more with this.

Art
- 4/10
- It started out good, but the quality was constantly dropping.

Characters
- 1/10
- No originality, no character development. They gave us basically nothing about background characters, apart from little conflict that got resolved quickly just so they could move o to the "main" story. The design was pretty unoriginal - the cold gone had blue hair, the gyaru was the deepest person in the whole show... meh.

Music
- 2/10
- It wasn't awful, but I would not listen to it in my own free time. The animation looks good though.

Entertainment Value
- 1/10
- You bathe with a girl you insist on hating- Yeah sure. You blush at a girl you hate when she tells you, that you are her rivals? Yeah sure. You spend a night talking about your feelings and then mumble that you still don't like the other? Yeah sure.
The way it started - with the girls hating each other - it ended and it honestly felt like the whole arc or part of the story was a waste of time an money.

Kaii to Otome to Kamikakushi (Mysterious Disappearances)

Episode 12

Main character's background time. It was actually pretty drastic and sad, I was surprised a lot by this. Never would have I ever guessed that that's what happened.
Also, the 12th episode itself revealed some important facts!
For example, that Ren has no real intentions of going back with his sister.

The ending though felt incredibly rushed and as high as my hopes were in the beginning, all of it fell flat and I can say that the ending earned it lower score than it would have without it.
It was actually stupid.

BEST feature

The premise. Hearing a story about "mysterious disappearances" promises so much...a  good horror, maybe something along the lines of Dark Gathering... but what do you know, it was nothing like that and it didn't leave a good impression.

WORST feature

Story
- 8/10
- The premise sounded good, and most of the plotlines were interesting in nature. It's the execution thatlet me down most of the time, and made the story feel like it was lacking something important. Like it just wasn't good enough.

Animation
- 3/10
- It felt very robotic ad lazy, it didn't look good or "realistic" if you know what I mean.

Art
- 10/10
- I liked the design, I loved the eyes and the fashion choices for character's outfits was very on point. I enjoyed looking anime.

Characters
- 5/10
- The main sibling duo was pretty ominous, and in the end they surprised me the most. Sumireko was just a fanservice "woman written by a man" reincarnate. She was so badly written... beside her backstory, nothing about her was that interesting.  The plant Oto brought to her house was more interesting.
The background characters had all the potential to become sidekicks, or just friends that would sometimes pop up. But they abandoned them once their "curse" story was over.

Music
- 4/10
- I did not like the opening and I was not fan of the ending. But the animation for them was pretty interesting, so at least that is something.

Entertainment Value
- 5/10
-Very disappointing BUT not bad. I enjoyed it as much as I could and I tried not to be too critical, but some parts were just so so bad and stupid. It's a real pity, but I still think it's worth giving a try. I might watcha  second season, but I just don't think I would read the manga...

Conclusionabsolutely mixed feelings 💫

Kuroshitsuji: Kishuku Gakkou-hen (Black Butler: Public School Arc)

Episode 11

Agni is back! I actually got to see him, hear him.
Those of you who know me for a while, are familiar with my weird relationship with Hiroki Yasumoto. He is voicing Agni, so that was twice the pleasure this episode!

The shopping trip was perfect as well. Mei-Rin getting new gglasses, Finnian getting new hat, Snake getting a BAG FOR ALL OF HIS SNAKES. And Bard... well..

This should be enough of an explanation.

And as you all sure guessed... in the end, we got teased the next arc that seems very interesting and I cannot wait to catch up with he manga. It might happen sooner than the new seasons comes out....
But we still have hope!
(And the last 2 minutes when they spoke in German killed me.)

BEST feature

The writing. The mindfucks were amazing, the way Yana connected everything not only together but also with the "prequel" arc... Hats off to her, she really knows what she is doing and she is doing it great.
This really is one of those experiences you can only go through once, because next time it won't have such an effect. And that is not a bad thing. It's a huge compliment, for being able to leave such impression on a person!

WORST feature

Story
- 10/10
- I do not remember the last time I had this many mindfucks, that I did not call or think about while I was watching. This really the perfect experience, and I enjoyed it so much. The gasping I did...!!

Animation
- 8/10
- The occasional powerpoint presentation mixed with CGI/real shots of tea, teacups and tea pouring... That's what I am taking points off. But when you forget about that and focus on the important things, the studio did a wonderful job.

Art
- 10/10
- Staying true to what we love, giving us wonderful colors and keeping the original design... I am very happy I saw my boys in color again!

Characters
- 8/10
- I took points off for not seeing Grell - which is stupid, of course. It's just a little joke because I am bitter, because I love and miss them.
It took me a second, but I grew to love all of P4, drudges and all the minor characters as well. Everything and everyone was perfect!

Music
- 5/10
- Not a fan of the opening at all, not a huge fan of the ending either.

Entertainment Value
- 10/10
- Whether you are a Kuroshitsuji fan or just a new watcher, enjoyer of psychological anime... I don't think you can possibly dislike it. The story slaps, the jokes are fun, the catchphrases work, and the foreshadowing is extreme.
It is just another perfectly executed arc, which might be actually my favorite.

Oh how happy I am I could say I was there while it was airing! This really connected me to my roots.

Conclusionrecommended 👍
and for Black Butler fans it's a must watch 💖

Episode 24

The final episode of first season was a nice wrap up and a nice divider.
We continue where we left of, with our group trying to revert back the changeling's ring curse. They manage to, and continue forward, finding an automatic trolley that dwarfs left behind, step in and...

While they are going to god knows where, they talk about how to reverse Falin's dragon for that would not survive in the outside world, make a 3 step plan how to defeat the elf and even plan a feast for everyone they encountered.

While they go and prepare food for themselves, Namari, Shuro and Kaboru enter the dungeon with their newfound party...

As a finale it was weak, but like I said, I liked it anyway. It does prepare a great ground for the next season which I am already crazy about (though I called it). Can't wait to see what happens next and I am very very excited about seeing more of Falin!

[Why didn't I notice her sooner? She's freaking adorable!]

[Senshi's elf form is so gay]

[They knew what they were doing]

BEST feature

Dungeon Meshi is the type of anime that never did any wrong. It's funny, witty, full of adventure and set in a new world we don't know anything about.
It's full of likeable and interesting characters, monsters that are unique or are looked at in an unique way. The humor is immature at times but so good, and the little detail of showing us how exactly they are preparing each food as if we could have made it at home is always funny to me.

Though the first episode shows us what is the anime going to be focused on, Dungeon Meshi surprised me so so much. I could not have dreamed that this was going to be it. The story, the premise, the backstories... Everything came as a welcomed surprise.

The voice actors were doing a marvelous job, the music performances were catchy, Trigger did AMAZING job and it belongs not only to a Hall of Fame but also in my Recommended and Favorites.
It just is that good!

I am hoping to read a manga, but not yet. I want to wait until after Season 2, so it can keep surprising me.

WORST feature

If I had to pick anything, I'd say not having enough Falin! 😂
I really can't say. It's a hard 10/10, there is nothing bad or wrong I can say about this.

Story
- 10/10
- not what I expected but entertaining and interesting, it kept me on my toes

Animation
- 10/10
- the overall animation was smooth and without visible mistakes, and when Trigger did it's thing, it was the funniest and funkiest thing ever. Nothing to hate, just a good signature and a great look for the studio. They worked really hard!

Art
- 10/10
- unique, interesting, nice pastel colors (mostly). The character design wasn't too crazy but they went and did their thing. Senshi's elf form, Marcille's hairstyle changing almost every episode, the monsters... Ryouko Kui is one talented girlie.

Characters
- 10/10
- all those races having a character assigned to him is such a D&D vibe. But they are all giving something to the story, which is important. Not one fell flat. Their backgrounds, backstories, design, dreams & hopes, fears & strengths... you can tell that Ryouko Kui was really thinking about them. And you know she follows the good old "the sadder the better" type of past trauma

Music
- 10/10
- all four artists did an amazing job and gave us some serious bops. I will definitely listen to them while cleaning my room.

Entertainment Value
- 10/10
- I already covered everything I wanted to say, so just to sum it up: 24 episodes of Dungeon Meshi will definitely make you a happier person 💕

Henjin no Salad Bowl (A Salad Bowl of Eccentrics)

Dropped at: Episode 4

BEST feature

I don't even know. The art style was pretty, character design was okay for the girls, plot seemed interesting and that is it. The opening and ending were listen-able.

WORST feature

They fucked up the story, they didn't execute the comedy right, art was lacking at times... and most of all, I had no idea what is going on half the time. Bye.

Conclusion not recommended 👎

Dropped at: Episode 4

BEST feature

The humor I guess. They had some pretty nice jokes that landed.

WORST feature

The story had a big potential, but it didn't deliver. Also, the art style is not my favorite. The characters were stupid - Fable was supposed to be a cool guy but turned out to be a derp, his sister used drunk men as a jerk-off material... Just... bad bad bad.

Conclusion not recommended 👎

Jii-san Baa-san Wakagaeru (Grandpa and Grandma Turn Young Again)

Dropped at: Episode 4

BEST feature

The premise seemed very interesting, the art reminds me of Tejina-senpai.

WORST feature

Incestuous and at times pedo comments, reactions or characters, that made me feel extremely uncomfortable. My grandpa could be the sexiest man in the world and I would not act like the daughter and mother. Animation was lacking, characters were flat, the rules of the golden apple were bent however the anime pleased, the opening or ending songs were nothing extra great.

Conclusion not recommended 👎

Kaijuu 8-gou (Kaiju No.8)

Dropped at: Episode 3

GOOD features

The animation and music are perfectly executed.

BAD features

Extremely generic to the point not one single thing about it it's original. The characters are following their archetypes to detail, no originality there.
I can see why people like it and why it's popular, let me get that out of the way first. But it's VERY VERY boring for me, since I don't get what's so good about it. I was bored since the first minute until I got fed up with it.

Conclusion not recommended 👎

Aaaand now that this is over, you know the next step from previous season.
It's awards time! It might take another week or so to get that out, but I am preparing it already. We'll see who gets the fame and who dies forgotten. :P

Until then..!
