Springs 2024 In a Nutshell

New Season, new Anime. Let's take a dive in Spring 2024!
In Spring 2024 we will focus on these shows:

As you can see, Spring 2024 is PACKED!! That's why this season, we're doing this a little bit differently...
Given that college is keeping me busy as it is, and staying caught up with seasonals can get hard... not to mention the number of shows I want to give a try this season, I won't do a weekly update. INSTEAD I will post four times - First Look that I already published, In a Nutshell post now, Last Episodes (coming out next week), and then Conclusion.

It's a change for me, a little experiment. But I am hoping it will work out just fine!

A QUICK WARNING BEFORE YOU READ THIS

I am talking about 2nd to 11th/12th episodes in this post. For last episodes, a special post will be made.

We are covering 19 shows this time around. So if you don't want to read the whole ass post, click on the anime you are interested in and it will redirect you!

One Room, Hi Atari Futsuu, Tenshi Tsuki.
(Studio Apartment, Good Lighting, Angel Included)

This show has such immature humor, I am dead. This type of comedy feels like you can just relax and listen to it as a podcast, really.
My most random thought while watching the second episode was that Towa (the angel) has a haircut people call "jellyfish" and I asked myself why don't the girls in "Jellyfish Can't Swim in the Night" have that haircut? 😂

I could go without all the caught-while-changing scenes the show offers, but the anime does a good job re-focusing me on the cute girls.
I am weak for blonde hair + green eyes combo - and in this show, my perfect girls is called Noel - absolute legend and a snow spirit. Which is a pretty fun concept I haven't seen before.
Angels and vampires have been used over and over again, but a snow spirit sure is unique.

[She didn't want to be the only one who won't share a secret. 😂]

[And I thought his eye bags were exaggerated]

[This girl is a blast]

Not much is happening in One Room, there is no story to focus on, it's mostly just supernatural teenagers with their difficult feelings and hopes to find themselves in life. Very cutesy but boring...

[I love her I love her I love her]
[If you need a good reaction pic.]

Before we meet another girl, I want to remind you how adorable Towa is.

Lilishka appears at the end of episode 7 and she reminds me of Rikka from Chuunibyou. She also talks like her and I do believe she has the "puberty delusion" syndrome.
Otherwise I can't explain why she's acting so weird. Plus she is wearing bandages because it's "fashion". Total cuckoo.

And this is pretty much me while watching this (in both cases):
The last girl from the poster is Hisui and she is (you guessed it) a magical being too. A kappa, to be exact. Now I don't know much about kappas, but this doesn't sound right:

She's extremely shy and soft spoken, which I didn't guess when I saw her in the poster. She's in the occult club with Lilishka and based on [this] episode, I think that's where the rest are heading too.

Also, Noel was super cute again!!

I want to take a second to talk about how wholesome 10th episode was.
We all remember than Noel has a hard time making friends, due to what happened to her in the past. So seeing the girls go out, hang out together without our boy MC was absolutely soul pleasing, and their little talk about "we are friends already, what are you talking about he's your only friend" was so cute.

11th episode was a fanservice one. You know what that means - swimsuits.
Now I am as degenerated as any other anime enjoyer. Swimsuits are cute, fun, they showcase our girls' style, personality and give us a new look.
That being said, these presented swimsuits were awful and I hated every single one of them with passion. They didn't look great, didn't fit the girls and weren't even extra memorable or anything.

[That's Lilishka. Vampire on a beach is sure unfortunate..]

[I am both of those people.]

11the episode (the last one we are covering in this post) is a 2 part-er, so catch the last episode in another post.

Shuumatsu Train Doko e Iku? (Train to the End of the World)

This show was not making any sense, not even after second episode. But the idea and the "shoo shoo train" opening song kept me interested enough to keep watching, it's so funky.

Akira is really the only sane one out of the main four girls. She might be my favorite.. (and her VA is great too!)
...by the way she did grow a mushroom on her butt at one point. Which was a rather... strange writer's choice?

Love the opening for the 4th episode that shows us that Remi (the dark-skinned one) is in fact not blonde. It's been bothering me for a while, since in every show I can think of the dark-skinned girls usually have purple eyes and blonde hair. But knowing she is dying them feels correct. It makes more sense, genetically.

[Continues being a freaking fever dream]

Akira's voice actor just won't stop surprising me. Thanks to the mushroom-pulling Akira somehow regresses in age and her VA is doing a darn good job and being funny, childish and kooky.

[I am 99% convinced this Jizo statue is Masaya Onosaka, but so far, I couldn't find any proof]
[Update: I found proof that it's him, I'm amazing.]

In episode 5, we meet a certain scientist who tells us a bit more about how you can fight the symptoms of 7G. Simple, yet effective explanation is given - it's all in our brain.
This scientist knows Zenjirou - the crazy old man that helps the girls - and we learn about his past, too. They were all personally involved with the 7G incident and they know a little too much about it.

I also found one mistake in this episode:

[We only see her eat one mushroom, but in the next frame, she doesn't have any.]

Episode 6 was the one that finally told us more about Youka and why she's gone. Apparently, Shizuru told her that she has high hopes and is unrealistic when Youka confessed about her dreams for the future - that being working in field focused on astronomy, space.
It does not sound that bad, but reading the subtitles and hearing the tone of Shizuru's voice... I think I'd be upset too.

While other girls are trying to explain to Shizuru what she did and that she is acting weird, Shizuru seems to not understand it at all.
In a way it was frustrating, but on the other hand, I totally understand it. Friendship is hard and kids don't always understand what they did wrong. But she will grow up and change, so being angry with her would make no sense.
Shizuru just needs an adult and none of the girls have that luxury. It's just a bunch of 12 year olds. (Approximately 12 year olds.)

Each stop is more fun than the other, even those that were not explored just "explained". It takes a real creative genius to come up with something new and fresh for each stop.

It was episode 8 that brought another mindfuck to us. And this time it was regarding Youka. The girl is apparently Queen Witch in Ikebukuro and ordered for no one to be able to get in Ikebukuro.
One thing I didn't count with - that it was all Pontaro's doing. (That is the man who caused the 7G incident).
We got so little information, but so much was told that I was not only sold, but also understood completely what will happen for the rest of the show. And even though I guessed it, I was not disappointed.

[My man knows no fear. Standing on a chair, on a table...]

With episode 11 I can finally confidently say that this is how you make an original anime. Great story, great characters, great pacing and a simple plotline that is followed to the very end while staying interesting and fresh by bringing something new along every episode.
In that direction, it's the perfect anime.
They know exactly what story they want to tell, how much time they have and how to reach the people. Hats off.

[I'll just leave this here.]

[The stupid melon thing is a PHONE, kill me]

Episode 12 was delayed, so catch the end of the anime in another post!

Hananoi-kun to Koi no Yamai (A Condition Called Love)

I guess I shouldn't shit on this too much. The two are having difficulties just being love and getting used to dating. Still it's missing something. I can't place my finger on it, but I can't get into it. It's boring.

Took me three episodes to realize that Hananoi's voice actor is the same as Adachi's (from Cherry Magic, last season).
I am definitely enjoying the music, both opening and ending grew on me.

[This was pretty adorable..]

Besides, Hananoi-kun has issues (mainly abandonment issues) and Hotako is not even in love with him. How do you build a love story on that?
She is "trying" to discover her feelings, while he is supposedly in love with her. The dynamic just doesn't sit right with me.

On the other - more important hand, Hotaru slowly falling in love with Hananoi is very cute. The way she doesn't even realize what is happening in her head... it's too much for my heart.

As in any other romance animal, a rival appears. This time, Hananoi-kun is jealous of Yao, Hotaru's classmate from elementary school. He is not only sweet, but he is also connected to Hotaru's past trauma, and it has to do with her short hair.
Subplot for that episode, by the way, was Hotaru not being able to say she likes Hananoi... and I was extremely frustrated. It really really made me upset, because I know how hard it is to say, but girl if you don't step your p**** up...!

I do admit it was sad to see Yao so disappointed every time Hotaru pulled away from him (with her body or her words), thought that girl has an insecure boyfriend and she is doing all she can to show her boyfriend she really does love only him.

AND OH MY GOD, the revelation, the cliffhanger...!! They were in the same class (with Hananoi)!! And he was there when her hair got cut.
But the anime refuses to address it for the next few episodes.

[Look how cute her outfit is]

We did get a kiss, eventually. The anime was building on it the whole time, but I can't say I was excited about it, not too much anyway. I guess this might be popular with teenagers...

There is still a lot the show hasn't explained or address. Whether they will or you'll have to read the manga for more will be clear after the last episode, which you'll find in the Last Episodes post.

I like Mr. Sidekick. Main character's new bestie looks cool, is fun and has a backstory that makes you want to cheer on him. The moment he came on the screen and fell on his face, I knew that he will be Sakura's best friend forever. It's just that type of relationships, you know!

I love the character design overall, though. They remind me of Demon Slayers sometimes, with their looks.

[This guy is pretty fun too!]

[The best definition of the word I ever heard]

Each week this screams better Bucchigiri more and more, and I live for it. The top fighter of Bofurin seems like a riot and our main four is just freaking ridiculous in character variation.
The humor in this one is peculiar but it makes me laugh, so I won't complain at all.
(I wrote this before it became a mess. My opinion changed a lot since then.)

About the plot: The two bosses schedule a fight between them. Very excited to know about this rivalry.
Bofurin's boss, Hajime Umemiya, is a gardening enthusiast and he considers Kotoha his little sister - which came as a welcome surprise.
Tomiyama - Shishitoren's boss -  wants to take over Furin High school by fighting Umemiya.

While Shishitoren is a powerhouse focused on "power" itself, Umemiya insist that their fight will be just a conversation, because he is just that good-hearted.

My boi Akihiko (the blonde) became an official narrator - telling us exactly what is what and how things work, while being scared shitless.

First fight ended with the win of Bofurin's Kyoutarou Sugishita. Second fight ended in Bofurin's win too, this time it was "Leonardo" who won. But the difference in those two fights really hit me.

[This little bitch ain't fooling me. He's fucked in his head.]

While the first one was a one-punch win, the other was filled with desperation and frustration and fear. It was so weird to watch him try to fight to get a revenge of sorts and getting destroyed not by punches but just body movement (as in avoiding the punches). If he was hit, it would be different, but he was thrown around and each of his hits was dodged.
In the end, he did not "loose" but his bosses told him that he "humiliated them enough". That was really shitty, and so well written.

Sako's backstory was not exactly the strongest. Hibiki told him what would change and he decided to take a revenge instead of accepting it, or staying his friend while coming up with a goal of his own. He could try to reach the top.
But okay.
[This was a good moment! Seeing him let go right before hitting Sakura.]

I get that the guys are fighting their own selves during the matches with Bofurin... I just hoped their backstories would touch me more. When it comes to the more important characters that is.
But Choji (the orange team leader) and his right hand Jou did not make me too interested in them.

After the fighting and having a picnic, it almost seems like some new problem will arise. Or better, has to arise to give WIND BREAKER a new plot.
Instead of something big, we are introduced to two new characters and shown what their quirks are.
And obviously, they fight some guys.
But the real "problem" comes in the very end, when Sakura is nominated for a class captain...

The last episode we are covering was just a pre-set for introducing four "kings" of the school. Which means that Sakura became a captain, had many moments of being a bashful mess, trying to figure out what he should do in his position... and that the last episode will not end anything, just teases what more will happen in the story.

Henjin no Salad Bowl (A Salad Bowl of Eccentrics)

Livia really got the worst fate... Being homeless, working as a... kind of stripper. Poor girl. Still, I didn't expect them to meet during second episode! (With Sara, I mean.)

Even after that she seems to be living as a homeless person, which I don't understand. Why didn't she get "adopted" too? Why didn't Sara say anything?
If the only purpose is to keep them separated to show how different each of their lives are - then this is not really a good way of doing this. Why let them meet at all?

With fourth episode aired, and me not understanding anything anymore and being extremely bored, Henjin no Salad Bowl is the first drop of the season.

I just noticed during 3rd episode that this anime is made by Toei Animation who in my experience were always experimental. So now this type of v-tuber/MMD animation is no longer a surprise choice for me. Remember Kuuchuu Buranko? Yup, from the same studio.

When the girls had their first live performance and they had to choose outfits to represent them - I have to admit, I loved it a little too much. "Liar" "Coward" "Dropout". Talk about owning up to who you are and making it a part of yourself instead of being ashamed.
You have to accept yourself and understand yourself in order to grow, and I think the girls are very brave for that.
Also, it might be a nice marketing brand for the future.

Only thing I hated about fifth episode was this guy who came out of nowhere just to say this:

He did not have to say that, but I guess you can't help it when you're an idiot.

It started bothering me a little, that the music in the background is sometimes as loud as the voice acting, so I had problems hearing the girls talk. (Ofc I don't understand Japanese, it's more about how it was disturbing me, and I couldn't focus too well.)

Overall, even if there is not much to talk about, the anime is full with sad backstories and great music. Plus. It is a unique take on animation that might appeal to most, so definitely go for it.
On the other hand, I feel like certain songs were on repeat... which is a let down with a music anime.

What I didn't expect is how the anime grew on me. The girls are beautiful and the artwork of them is really great, so I might follow that for a while, even after the anime ends.

Nina's parents decide to reach out towards the end of the show, and Nina is forced to stand her ground in front of them. And face her family.
This is a very touchy subject for me, so the entire episode was making me really emotional. I understood Nina's frustration that "they never listen" and I understood her anger dad her father didn't support her when it mattered (and feeling angry that he tried to support her when it didn't matter anymore).
But she ended up talking it out with them and she got her parents' blessing, which I can only hope for one day.

That's not all... the anime touched some very... risky subjects. Death, namely. In more ways than just one.
But I don't want to focus on that. I want to focus on two important things Rupa and Nina said.

And I have something to make the mood lighter too!

Good new is, that the girl got scouted. That might be a turn they were hoping for and needing.
But first, they have thier fist concert, on a small stage, hoping to steal all of Diamond Dust fans by being their honest selves .
I am a bit worried, since it looks like it's raining and we all know who sticks to listen to a concert when it's raining - hardcore fans, or drunk people.

Stil, good luck girls, I trust you. And I believe in you.

Also, this is how you do an icebreaker:

[After a 30 seconds long solo xD]

The last episode we are covering shows that Nina did not grow after all. Not at all.
She is still awfully selfish.
When a challenge from Diamond Dust for a band battle came, the girls agreed 3:2 that they will not accept - because they are not ready, because they don't even have their first song finished and because it could hurt the name of their band.
But Nina insists and steps out without saying anything to her bandmates and says she will accept the challenge.

Oh I would be so mad at her.
If it ends well or just fine, we'll find out next week. I am actually excited about it!

I just learned that this is supposed to have 25 episodes. 25. That is more than Dungeon Meshi. wth.
I am not too happy about this. Don't like the comedy, art style or the type of animation.
I did like the bird Captain and the hamster, that was cute. But the detail of when Captain bit Fable's dick and had his pubic hair in his beak... bleh.

I think the show leans too heavily into Fable's naked body, to the point where it's not even amusing anymore.

Crazy runs in family, by the way. While Fable is busy being a... weirdo, his sister takes it a step forward, getting horny over pathetic man. I mean, to each their own - but she seemed disgusted when she was sober. Maybe it's the drunk kink?
You know, when you get drunk and feel the need to become... overly friendly. She might be that type.

And that's all I'm going to give it. I was bored, I couldn't focus, the comedy was weak, the art style not my favorite... And I could never watch 24 episodes of this. It's another drop.

Yoru no Kurage wa Oyogenai (Jellyfish Can’t Swim in the Night)

You know what is better than two super-cute, super-talented girls? THREE (!!!) super-cute, super-talented girls. We have the artist, we have the singer and now we have a composer, who is Kano's biggest fan from her idol era.
Mei Kim Anouk is so fun, but she has trouble accepting that Kano has moved on in her life. I guess the purpose of her feelings and refusing Kano is for the purposes of drama... because if you have the chance to work with your idol, why wouldn't you take it?
Oh, maybe because of her past experiences with music, maybe because music stopped being fun for her... and she is trying to work with the person that helped her love it again.

The last main character is called Kiui which is an incredibly adorable name and I absolutely adore it.
The girl, however, brings a bit of sadness in the story. She used to "pretend" to be a "main event", but since she is different that the other girls her age, she doesn't make much friends. That leads to her stopping to go to school, and lying to Mahiru (Yoru) about her everyday adventures with made up friends.
But Yoru finds out and she send Kiui a message saying that she should be strong and there are people who need her and love her.
That message is powerful and belongs to all of us. Mostly to those, who don't see it.

Oh right! And the detail of using the actual Discord Ringtone when they are texting or calling each other is just a cherry on top.

While the girls are bonding and talking about their past, I couldn't help but to notice how... interested Kano is in Yoru. It's very very sweet!
Yoru also reveals that she is "interested" in someone so... who knows. Wink wink.

The girls upload a song that goes viral overnight - but not because of their talent but because the sounds of Kano's drunk sister are in the background.
When I tell you I was disappointed, upset and frustrated...!

[Her little dance was everything]

This anime is surprisingly heavy. Dealing with social issues of young girls, feeling like you don't belong anywhere, loosing directions and not knowing what future holds for you and what you should follow... It's gutwrenching to watch sometimes.

While Kiui is not going to school and she has troubles being outside, it's very inspiring to see her think about her future and having everything planned so she can get her life back together. That girl knows exactly what she wants and she is doing everything to get there.

Yoru had an awful experience with comments that called her art mediocre and praised an artist who made a fanart of JELLE, so she decided to work harder and try to get into art college.

Mei is slowly revealing her own feelings - how she is supposed to be a prodigy but how difficult is it to know that there is someone better out there.
And even a random stranger Koharu (who my heart goes out to) had her story, her removed tattoo, her plans and heavy thoughts.

[This should not be funny.]

It' a message for sure, to all of us, to keep fighting and not give up. Our future is waiting for us, and it can be anything we want.

On the other hand. What the hell is with the queerbaiting?

[Is casually mentioning it and never going back to it again okay??]

I appreciate the show so much for handling and dealing with modern problems. This is not just a silly romance/coming of age anime. It's a work for young girls, to show them it's okay to be lost or not "normal".
To us, older guys and gals, it's a little message that society created norms that we are not obligated to follow.
That we should all just live our own life. And! Be there for those who we love, and support them.

It's believable, it's modern.
The way you tackle a hard problem, talking about issues and fears... and then knock it out with something silly or funny to make the other feel less upset... It's very real in a sense.
It is different from anime from early 2000s. It shows that anime grows.

Unlike other shows, we actually get to see the backstory of Kano's alleged violent attack - and what do you know, I support her, fully. While I think a slap might be easier, I do understand that sudden thrill of hurt, betrayal and anger that people can't control sometimes.
It was really really great.
As it seems that this is not a fiction, but a story of real life people on screen, it is very easy to connect with them.

Drama happens, and the drama is wonderful in how raw it is. What really got me was Mei, who was proudly going on and about how the only thing she won't do is sing.
But that is ultimately what helped her show her feelings and each everyone.
When Kano decided to disband JELLE because of her own unresolved trauma connected to "like mother like daughter", Mei decided to sing their new song on a LIVE where they were supposed to announce disbanding.
I love that girl, she is so serious, honest and dumb.

But she saved JELLE, and they announced comeback during the same episode... but the troubles are not over yet, as the identity of ALL the girls is coming to light.

[Me too, me too]

"Who do you draw for?" "Who do you sing for?" "What are you doing this for?" "Why are you doing it?"
All very important questions regarding hobbies and things we love to do. For me, the problem is when the questions arises first. As long as you are having fun and doing what you love, (even though you might not necessarily get better) you are doing something great.
But when you start to question your hobby, yourself, or the way you are doing it - you are bound to fall on your knees.

For example - Mahiru doesn't love her art, Nonoka forgot how to sing. It's stupid and silly, because it's good, their art. But it lacks soul, it lacks excitement. It lacks the love they put into it.
Yeah, the execution of Jellyfish is not great, but t tackles important coming of age problems, and I am glad that some people have a place to go and see that how they feel is very normal and valid.

[Best case of hidden branding ever.]

I was so incredibly proud of Kiui standing up for herself. And her little speech touched me, because I relate to her in many things. She was just wonderful.
It takes balls to react like this, and tell the people who you are and what yo think. And Kiui really gave it her all, and got her message across.

After Mahiru's negotiation, I have this feeling that the finale will be big. I can't wait to see it!

Sentai Daishikkaku (GO! GO! Loser Ranger!)

I'm saying this here just because it came to mind when I was watching the second episode: shows that don't have proper opening during the first episode tend to be huge success. This show just might be one of them - it looks great, sounds great, is fun and Suzukiri (Yumeko) is the woman of my dreams.
The opening was kind of fun - again, I have no idea how to explain this type of song, but the melody was amazing.

The closeups on Blue Keeper were funny to me as well. Such detail into his lips moving... and for what? xD But his scars make him really... sexy. (I'm so sorry.)
I like that the Keepers are kind of holding to the stereotypes - red, the leader is slightly annoying, blue is the cool one, pink is the girl one, green is the crazy one and yellow... if yellow is the goof with no brain, I will loose it.

I am enjoying the shift in power. The good ones are the secret baddies, threating to kill the fighters if they will ever try to fight back again.
While the fighters just want to live peacefully, being themselves. It's easy to feel bad for the fighters when you know the Dragon Keepers are the assholes. Knowing that the "justice system" is wrong and corrupted is too real to be in anime. 😂

Yumeko was a big mind twist. I did not expect her to turn the way she did. During her little play she reveals she has been protecting Fighter D the whole time and that she wants to make a deal with him. She will teach Fighter D how to defeat the rangers, so they can destroy them together.

[I wanted to make fun of this, because, boy I know I can hear.
And also "English" might be the wrong way to explain the pronunciation.]
[But when I realized those subtitles are accessible for deaf people, I really felt bad for making fun of it.
This might be the first time I encountered subtitles like these.]

(The ending animation is awful, it's incredibly funny. And the "next episode" gag when they were trying to hit the right note send me to my knees. 😂)

I am getting huge Denji -  Makima vibes from D and Yumeko's relationship. Of course, that one is more violent... but they remind me of each other a lot. The art style is rather similar to Chainsaw Man too, when I think about it.

I am rather surprised that shit went down in 4th episode - as in already. I thought the act will be kept up for a longer time than that, and that Fighter D might actually become a ranger (or whatever they're calling them). But instead he went to steal Red Keeper's artefact (which is a powerful weapon), and got in a fight with all the Keepers. What did you expect - we get a shot of him dying and Yumeko holding the artefact, smiling to herself.

[Baby, they are fighting 1 Fighter. What's legendary about that?]

[He wasted no time and said it the way you ask for a snack.]

[Them really doing everything just for the show is annoying me so much.]

[They piss me off so much. But I loved it!]

4the episode introduces something new. Each Dragon Keeper has a "buddie", which I assumed was the person more likely to become a Keeper after them. I was ready to take it seriously and get deeper into the lore but... then this appeared:

How can I take Draggie-kun serisously? The whole show CHANGED with his presence!
Also - there is 3 female buddies, which means there will be 3 female Keepers next "generation". Very excited about that!

Yumeko is weirder and weirder each episode, which is keeping me excited because I can't wait to see what she brings to the table. Adult world sucks? She is doing all of this because she hates tv dramas? Haha, no way. There is something... I am sure.
(Later it is revealed that she has almost inhuman powers, but it has yet to be explained why or who she really is.)

She's not the only one who appears to be out of character. Hibiki is another one who seems to be something other than he appears. After all, it's him who saves Fighter D and tells him he wants to learn from him.

[Can you really break TV remote with your bare hands?]

His whole past was very very sad, I did not know he went through so much shit. Poor guy.
On a whole different topic - the voice acting is very tasty. They are playing so much with the character, accent and sentences - even as someone who doesn't understand Japanese can hear what the voice means exactly. Amazing.
This show is one huge mindfuck and I am living for it.

Staying a banger, this show proves to me times and times again that it's more than it just looks like. The amazing twist with Hibiki's sister and Pink Dragon Keeper was a bit expected but really well delivered, so no complains!
Christ, if this doesn't have a second season we have a problem!!

I heard that 10th episode changes a lot of this and opinion of those who watched it - to worse. I admit, I was scared to watch it.
It was a very confusing episode, jumping from scene to scene, while a big fight was supposed to be in the center of it all.

It did gave us one soft moment I enjoyed.

You cant tell me he didn't grow to like them.
But in the end, the episode didn't give me virtually anything - so idk what the big fuss was about. All I know is the next episode will be huge.

The fight continues to the 11th episode, and it shows us the fighting styles of many of the "junior rangers". Even though Yumeko tried to help the boss Peltrola, Sakura's sister was there to try stop and kill him. And her artifact seemed to be in her legs which is... well, it's hilarious to me for some reason.
In the end they finish the job, and I feel like I missed the moment Peltrola revealed that Sakura is D... because no one reacts to all of that mimicry. My bad.

We also got a bit of backstory for the Blue Keeper. I must say at first I was very confused but then when I realized what was going on, I was really surprised. It was pretty interesting! And it gave the story a depth. I got thins feeling like it changed a lot of things for the main story - though we won't know what for a bit longer.

What the finale will bring, I am honestly not sure. But I am excited to fins out soon.

Jii-san Baa-san Wakagaeru (Grandpa and Grandma Turn Young Again)

I am still rather disappointed with the direction this anime is taking. I can't get into it, I can't like the characters and the episodic type of story is just not doing it for me.
It's a pity, but I can see why people would enjoy it.

I do wish their family would be less awkward about their grandparents, that really is rubbing me the wrong way. But I guess you can call it "comedy".

When Grandma and Grandpa pretended to be going to school together, that was adorable. That was what I want. It was cute, it was funny and in a way it was lovely. Since Jii-san didn't get to go to high school, this was such a sweet way of getting the time back and making the best of their new-found youth.

The story is moving as it pleases, with no real rules to why they are young and how it works. But okay, it's a comedy anime, there does not need to be any logic. Still, it did not meet my expectations, so it's a drop for me.
I might pick it up in the future.

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

The second episode had a slice-of-life, CGDCT vibe. We focused on Serika (black haired cat girl), who refuses to trust their new "teacher". While she might keep her walls closed around her, she is a very lovable girl, that just needs a little push.

Third episode introduces bad girls, whose slogan "An Evil a Day" is just stupid. 😂 But they have a wonderful design and I can't wait to see what they're all about. So far it looks like they are sort of an "enemy" school, and they fight each other with no mercy.
The episode was filled with action and I enjoyed it - but it's very clear that not knowing the game is a curse, because some things are not making enough sense.

Next up, fourth episode, opened the first problem - the simplicity. It seems like the plot is the same for every episode. They are cute together, then a different girl appears, they fight, then then it's over.

It was just a question of time - but the quality dropped a lot from first episode. I am a bit disappointed, but I understand how much work goes into animation.
I just wish they stopped giving us unrealistic image, if they can't keep up with a certain level.

[She says, with the calmest voice ever.]

Let's hope I'll have something to say about the finale at least.

Quite boring episode, the second one. I did not care for Yuki (back then) that much and his "loner wolf finds friend" story did not really speak to me. Meh.
We did get a kiss, which was supposed to be a really romantic moment... But it was immediately ruined by Masaki getting into heat - and from that moment I could not stop laughing. 😂

[No, no, no. Your beard makes you sexy.]

I swear to god if Mr. Beard and Yuki-kun date and marry, I will loose it. That would be too cliché. Besides, there is this age difference... but who am I kidding. It's pretty likely to happen.
(Again, my opinion changed totally towards the second half of the show. I am their biggest fan.)

Hiromu's father came to visit. And from what we've seen, he does not approve of alpha-omega relationship at all. I don't know him, but he got me when he showed interest in his grandson. That was kind of cute.
Well, to be exact - the depiction they gave us was rather harsh. But seeing the whole memory, I don't think the "grandpa" is that wrong. He told the truth - it will be difficult and there is nothing wrong with Masaki, or him being an omega.

I would definitely like more to see Hiromu and Masaki's start of the relationship, this domestic lovey-dovey stuff just isn't doing it for me.
I was not there for the drama, for their milestones and "first" times. So I can't really connect to the couple. But that is normal in the romance genre.

Anyway! The grandpa OBVIOUSLY turns into a pretty decent guy and I have to say, I am very happy because I like him a lot. Very cute type of grandpa that would do anything for his family, he's just shitty at communication.

[My reaction to everything. Hate it so much I love it.]

The two are expecting another baby, as it's revealed. And of course, the girl is an omega. Which means troubles and that things will get more complicated for our two boys.
The baby is born, and they named her Hinata. She is ADORABLE! They spend the whole episode playing hide-and-seek, which is ridiculous, because how do you spend 24 minutes episode on something so stupid?

I mentioned a few times, that I am enjoying being part of a history and watching the first omegaverse anime there is. (To my knowledge.)
While it is a unique take on it, what I did not expect (but didn't take me aback at all) was that our omega boy Masaki was engaged to his own cousin.
Now, they did explain that it wasn't a formal "let's get married" engagement, but still. Why put it that way??

Now. To my IT couple:
Random Discord user spoiled for me that Yuuki and Mr. Beard are going to get together. And I am so incredibly happy to hear it. You have no idea. I wish them happiness and luck, they are my go-to couple. I can't wait to see them fall in love.

[They are officially dating. Cuz I said so.]

[They even had a little date!!]

[You have no idea how happy these frames make me!]

Matsuo and Yuki are absolutely everything to me, and the twins helped me a lot by pushing everyone's focus to their way.
While Matsuo might be developing feelings, Yuki is unsure about his, and thinks Matsuo will eventually date someone else. This does sound like a miscommunication trope, which I hate with my all might, but so far so good.
Enjoy some screenshots.

[Poor baby boy]

They are so bad at being in love. I love it.

When 11th episode started, I was seriously thinking that it would turn okay. Masaki and Yuki seemed to finally understand and accept their feelings (though there probably won't be a confession for a while).
That turned out to be a last supper before the judgement day.

Masaki's omega friend finally got to meet Hiro - but as an unmated omega in heat, his pheromones hit our married alpha boy, causing him to get a hard on. (And that's where this shot was taken from:)

As confusing as it was to watch for a moment, it was worrying. I had a second hand embarrassment and couldn't take it seriously, though it feels wrong to know that Hiro's body betrayed him and he got hard from just... looking at the omega friend.
That obviously means, that Michiru and Aoto said goodbye to their friends...

Here is my problem:  at one point the anime states that relationships between alphas and omegas are frowned upon. On the other hand, they state that alphas and omegas need to mate to be safe from others, to create a bond. And on the third hand, why does Hiro say that it's in alpha's nature to react to omega pheromones?
What kind of logic is that?
This universe, the rules of it, don't make sense. I am all for original takes on things that were done before... but we don't have to reinvent the wheel, if the wheel works just fine.

I don't know if the conflict resolves... we will find out in the next post, while talking about the final episode.

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

A whole lot happened in the second episode. We were thrown in the middle of a new plot - the witch joined an academy of sorts, where she showed her talents in magic, studies and sword fighting.

[This felt so out of character for her...]

The turn this thing took is worrying me greatly, because instead of the awkward romance I hoped to get, I am getting another Higeki no Genkyou to Naru Saikyou Gedou Last Boss Joou wa Tami no Tame ni Tsukushimasu. And what a miss that one was...

[Like what the hell]

The two are getting closer, though, I can only assume that. The anime never shows any progress. Tinasha is always in Oscar's lap, they kiss a few times... but the anime never built it up, they just showed the final "stage" of their love.
[So apparently, they skipped some important parts from the manga. Which does explain the sudden kiss, and the change in their relationship. This does suck a lot.]

But ok, who am I to complain? I am a fan. I root for both of them and wish them happiness. And also, if the two have a baby... it gives me not only a sweet sweet romance, but it does make for a sad, dramatic twist - since Tinasha is a witch, and immortal.
[I came back specifically to call the anime out on how stupid it is, because they made it a thing that a witch can "loose" her immortality, give it up. Why would that be a thing? And why would you even choose to do that??]

Look at this hottie though !!! :

[Woof woof]

Then something else happens, that feels like it should not. Tinasha randomly without any build up or explanation says she "broke" Oscar's curse (that he cannot have a baby) and leaves with the pretty boy (Lanak), acting like they were lovers.
It is a very toxic relationship, given that he stabs ??? her for some kind of ritual...

So yeah, not a good look for the anime, or the episode. This did shoot it down a few points. You can't rush a story that is heavily set to a "slow-burn" mood. A curse, relationship and twists do not resolve this quickly!
So at this point, after 6 episodes, I am utterly confused and fell out of love with this show completely. Pity...

The quick pace continued to episode 7 - where a battle happened. Not only that, but we were introduced to a few new characters, that might or might not appear again. And what's more Tinasha and Oscar are officially engaged.

[Talking about her, mostly]

Though, again, when did that happened? Also, why did Tinasha, a powerful witch, have to be a tsundere? Acting upset, just to cuddle into him in matter of seconds does not scream powerful to me. It screams teenage girl in love.

Before we move further, Lanak appreciation board:

Ok, I'm done.

Like I was saying, Oscar is the IT boyfriend, we all want someone like him. I mean, find me a man that would throw himself off the cliff just to save you, that would do anything you asked of him and a man who respects your wishes!

This absolute mess of anime continues. Now, we are faced with a whole another problem - Tinasha cannot marry Oscar and become a Queen because she is a witch.

This whole show is one of the worst adaptations of a Light Novel that I've ever seen and I didn't even read it.
Sometimes it feels like a 12 episode long trailer for a book trilogy.

I absolutely never connected to any of the character, their love story does nothing to me and I am still very unsure what kind of world it is, how it works and who are all the people.
I can literally feel what parts they skipped.
And besides, if you use important character and introduce them just by showing their name on the screen - you know it's made specifically for the LN readers.
Basically, Unnamed Memory might just be a "your favorite scenes animated NOW".

[This was pretty funny.]

I have nothing else to say about this. Lets home the finale won't disappoint.

Boukyaku Battery (TV) (Oblivion Battery)

If I really think about this... this anime is rather mid, and only Kei's VA is saving it by being ridiculous.
I don't particularly enjoy the visuals or the character design.

This guy is crazy ridiculous, I can't believe the voice acting talent that is put into him. Give Mamoru Miyano a fucking raise.
I also want to mention that the music was incredibly good for this episode.

The most important thing is, that they explained the positions and rules of baseball. Huge thumbs up - as this is key to understanding and loving sports anime. With that, I could not ask for more.

Another thing I liked was the "yips" concept. One of the player has a block that he cannot overcome. We saw it happen in different sports anime as well, but it works great. It gave Aoi a whole another depth (personality-wise) and really made the audience fall in love with him. I am hoping for even more backstories (we are missing two, I think) later in the show, but I am very pleased with how this is going.

[This is a coach, ok.]

[How cute his pout is!]

In episodes 8 & 9 a lot happened.
First, they found the last missing player, the center, Kazuki Tsuchiya - an otaku. He is a very soft spoken boy with no presence that gave us this wonderful 4th wall break:

And suggest that they try to bring Kei's memory back somehow.
That something turned out to be pseudo-hypnosis that... worked??

So in episode 9 we got a taste of the real Kei - confident, cool, collected and serious.
I must say, it's nice to see him like that, and as confused as everyone was, they had to admit that Kei knows what he is doing. He took over the practice, game, court.
When Haruka asked him to catch his pitch, I was confident that would create a problem. Something in the sense of "he might have reversed his silly personality but now he can't catch the ball". But he did catch it, looked even cooler and now I think the nature of the whole anime will change...

Keeping it in backstories of the players, our cat boy Chihaya meets someone important during their match with another school.
More characters that will probably be important in the future were shown during the game, but what was even more significant was Kei's amnesiac personality coming back bit by bit.

His head was hurting, he started making weird gestures... and soon, he was completely back. At first I thought the story was moving too fast, by making him "healthy" again. But this opens up another opportunity - playing around with Kei's personality as they please.
Which is not a bad cliché to use in a comedy manga/anime.

Catch the last episode in the next post!

Seiyuu Radio no Uraomote (The Many Sides of Voice Actor Radio)

This pretentious hate is not doing it for me. The girls are hating each other because they admire each other, in more waya that just one. That's stupid.

The moment the girls shared a bath in second episode was the moment I realized that this is in fact a secret yuri and the two girls are simply tsunderes that refuse to share their feelings.
Wow, original.

Yumiko (the gyaru) meets Chika's (the blue-haired one) mom and they talk about Chika's future. In that moment, all the rest of the hatred disappeared, and the girls found an understanding for each other - continuing onwards as friends, even if they would refuse to admit it out loud.
Two things happen, that will shape the next few episodes:
  1. A boy from the girls' class is trying to find out who they are
  2. Their radio show is ending and the girls have to face the decision how to continue and just maybe how to stay in touch
Episode 4 changed the concept a bit, having one of the girls' schoolmates being the one who "exposed" Chika's persona and her alleged relationship with the director. As normal as this twist is, in shows about showbiz, I did not expect them to actually be such assholes in high school, or the boy (he's calling himself Knight) beat up his classmate.
His acting was disgusting.
The girls managed to get the problem solved - by telling the truth about the nature of Chika and the man's relationship, and their schoolmate got the shit and became hated instead.

As the story progressed, the two were put into difficult situations covering their personas, work, fans, anime voice acting roles and some more.
But all of that was usually a 2 episode drama with silly conclusion that eventually lead to the two getting closer and blush-y with each other, as if to spoil a possible romance.

A shitshow, really. Another disappointment and a wasted potential.
Guess this was not made for older audience but for little girls who are into drama and boys who are into yuri.

It's a mix of problem-solution-sweet moment-problem-so... on repeat. Like for example their face off with Makeru (a voice acress with her own radio show) that pretends to hate them for "exposing the true nature of voice actresses" but at the same time she is Yumiko's big fan.
Or Yumiko's whole anime voicing subplot - when she is shown to overdo it with practicing, failing miserably and being called out in front of everyone that she has to redo ALL of her lines, the two being forced in a ultimatum situation when they might have to quit voice acting all together... And more of these simplistic "plots" that do not move the story at all.

And I don't have to remind you that the quality of art & animation is slowly but surely dropping.
But you know what, since I disliked it since episode 1, I am not at all disappointed.

11th episode kept the same mood - one of the characters spent around minute telling Yumiko that she will be the main character for the next episode. You rarely see that - one sentence said in 50 ways.
Why god why.

The anime stopped being about the two girls' rivalry and switched completely to Yumiko's struggling with anime voice acting.
Maybe it's because I don't like her character that I cannot connect to her, but it didn't interest me at all. It might be moving and sad that she is going through all of that... but meh. I couldn't care less.

I am convinced the finale won't be much better than the whole show, because at this point, the finale will be just another episode. But you know where to catch it - Last Episodes post.

Kaii to Otome to Kamikakushi (Mysterious Disappearances)

[The ecchi element is too strong]

Oto (younger sister) and Rin (our main boy character) seem to be able to communicate telepathically, and what is worse, Oto has a unhealthy relationship with her brother. I am just throwing this out there.

The second episode is about supernatural phenomena in Oto's school, so Sumireko uses her "new superpower" and shrinks her body to pass as a school-girl.
The idea behind it is nice, thought it does feel a little too "convenient" that she can use such superpowers when she once broke the curse.

It's still too lewd (the anime), unnecessary lewd, but the story is slowly revealing itself so I am very curious as to where this will lead.

[I'm no pro, but this doesn't seem like a proper detective method..]

As per usual, the reason for mysterious phenomena is past trauma. This time, the teacher of Oto and her friends is the one that is responsible for all the bad things happening. And why? Because when she was young, she was bullied - and the reason for that was ridiculous. Parentless, she lived with her grandma, who made all her clothes. And they bullied her for "always wearing the same clothes" and "smelling like old people". In the end, she was treated unfairly by her teachers too.
Which, I completely get, that she is carrying a trauma after all of that.

As interesting as the design itself is, I find their eyes the most interesting. Often missing pupils, and being made of curved lines, they made for an interesting look and something of a look inside of the character's psyché.
Both kids have some superpowers - we see Oto making plans grow super quickly. And apparently, Rin can "look". We don't know what that means, where he is looking, what he is seeing... we just know it's dangerous and it's slowly killing him.

We know little of the sibglings, and it's not explored for a long time. Each story takes around 2 episodes to fully go through/animate, and they follow a pattern - something scary is happening to people that suffered in the past somehow, while Sumireko, Oto and Rin are trying to fight it.
It's not a bad concept, it's just... not very disturbing or scary. It's more of a boring detective type of show, which does make the show feel like it's missing "something".

At the end of episode 7, we are starting to find out who the "siblings" really are and I wish they will focus on it in the next episodes, and not just jump into another story. Though, the second option is possible as well, since we see this cat-girl who might steal the spotlight instead of any explanations...

Some cat shots:

8th episode was rather cute, with Lady of Books and Sumireko's past. It was adorable and warm. There was one thing that bothered me, but I know it's silly.

[Look at the size of her arms, and her boobs. That's not possible.]

A... catgirl appeared out of nowhere? Again?
And we won't be learning about her for a while longer, because another two episodes were focused on something completely different.

But not being so negative... I guess there is something nice about it. Yorumun Himeuo was a great way of bringing everyone down to reality and showing us how intimate internet personas can be and how unexpected people behind the PC are.
Thought not executed in the best way, it was a moving and inspiring story of a girl that lost something important, yet wanted to pursue happiness to the last moment.

The teased cat girl FINALLY makes an appearance, two episodes before the show ends. The fight scene though was awful. It was bad ridiculous, the music did not fit the atmosphere at all and it was anti-climatic.
And in the end, she disappeared in 5 minutes and we didn't hear from her to the very end.

[How can you sleep like this? When your PC eats out your eyes?]

But on the other hand, the siblings finally collected enough cursed objects to go back home. In shows like this, it's never that easy...
So who knows what awaits us for the finale?

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Kaijuu 8-gou (Kaiju No.8)

I shazamed the opening for this show and guess who is responsible for it? One Republic. (Well, technically it served as a theme for the first episode, and in regular season it's the ending.) Still, good for them.

Second episode was exactly what we knew it's going to be. Our main boy Kafka tries to get away in his new form while his childhood friend is ready to kick his ass.
Honestly, I am interested in why they stopped talking. You'd think that given they had the same goal, they would try to support each other. Kafka not making it as a Defense Force is no reason to end a relationship this important.

While running, Kafka pulls out an Eren and fights a kaijuu, saving a girl and her mother. I am just... not really wowed by this show, it's extremely generic.
I understand, that there is this general message of if you really want something, you have to follow your dreams... but in this case, meh.
Look, Eren was clumsy, but he managed to get through. Denji got merched with Pochita and that saved his ass, Deku ate a hair... I could go on. I can only understand Eren and Denji.
Deku is a delusional kid, Shinra is a little freak, but Kafka has literally no way of getting into the Defense Force and if he wasn't a kaijuu, he'd be dead by now. Idk if that is supposed to make him relatable or something...
Who cares.

I tried to go through with this, but at the beginning of 4th episode I realized I don't have to watch this, so I dropped it and I feel wonderful. I knew this will be generic and unoriginal, so I am not really upset about it. It was extremely meh and I think I am done with shows like these forever.

𓆩🌻𓆪 ─────── 𓆩🌻𓆪

Kuroshitsuji: Kishuku Gakkou-hen (Black Butler: Public School Arc)

I am slowly starting to worry about the animation aspect. CloverWorks does what CloverWorks does the worst - powerpoint presentation style. I hate that certain parts are made through "pictures" and "drawings". I know being an animator is hard and I understand the struggle... but if this ends like the finale of The Promised Neverland 2, we're going to have a problem.

The good kind of cringing continues:

[awful awful awful awf-]

["I'm so not gay, I am a tough guy"]

I keep forgetting that this is an all-boys school. I was bamboozled once with Maurice (though his name brought me back to reality) and then I was bamboozled with this little boy.
Even his voice sounded girl-ish. Idk man. Anime boys confuse me sometimes.

Anyway, I found it pretty funny that Sebastian took the boy to (in??) a confessional. Good joke.
Also, one tiny detail - why is everyone in the red house a blonde? Huh? Is that the good genetics requirement? 😂

[This fugging scares me. With Soma comes Agni.]
[He didn't 😓]

Wait. But Agni means more of Hiroki Yasumoto... yeah, okay, I can handle it. It's a sort of a bandage on my bleeding heart since the chances we see Grell are... 0.

With Soma appearing, my life got a meaning again. Apart from being gorgeous and having amazing hair, he brought more comedy which I thoroughly enjoyed.
You can expect his pictures on my Instagram, but let's look into normal screenshots, that have to do with the show.

[I want to point out one detail - he almost got a heart attack in the first picture, but barely reacted in the other.]

I guess you get used to annoying people being annoying. 😂
I despise the "can-telephone" solution of Cole's case, but I guess it was pretty funny and great for the era Black Butler is set in. While it was incredibly funny to imagine they actually heard him through strings, it looked extremely cool.

[This sentence did worry me quite a bit.]

The story picks up nicely, and I was not bored once. The drama well suited for Black Butler shows, the story unfolds with many many subplots that all seem very relevant to the story, and I appreciate all the details.

[Violet did not draw him in a single sketch.]

One negative thing I can say - As someone who binged the episodes 3-9, the little recap on the beginning of each episode seemed stupid and time wasting.

Episode 5 was focused on their annual cricket game.
When I saw this...

[They thought it was an earthquake... when it reality they were just wearing armor]

...I could not stop laughing for 10 minutes. Is it just me... or do you get weird cringe/secondhand embarrassment/entertainment mix when watching something you love, but can't take seriously?

[Like, come on, this is just ridiculously amazing.]

Okay, second negative critique: this was old the second time they did it, and now it's just making me groan.

I did say I cringe a lot during this show, but when this person appeared:

I went "aww that's his daddy!" and that's the only proof anyone needs that I love Kuroshitsuji - and that the show/manga are done tastefully.

OH MY GOD LOOK WHO MADE AN APPEARANCE

I am not even kidding. It's been 7 years since I saw them. This is crazy important to me.

I could talk about the cricket episode for HOURS, no DAYS, it was everything. From the scenes when the Red House (almost) shat themselves in the pants right in front of everyone to the unfathomable strategy of using SOUND to HIT the ball... CHEF'S KISS 10/10 I LOVED IT.

Now some more pictures before we move to episode 7:

[Effortless beauty]

[Another one]

[Is his name really Coward?]

[He just browned his pants]

The game was incredibly fun and I absolutely adored the relationships, backgrounds and dreams behind each of the players, with the little extra added illustrations.
This episode made me fall for more members of P4 and also, I developed a theory that the Head Master might be Undertaker.

Anyway, I really hoped for Blue Team to win, but not like this (see picture below)... Also, if this was an elaborate plan, then I absolutely pity Greenhill because there was nothing Herman could have done about hitting Ciel and given his backstory this was the worst that could happen to him.

But this was pretty hilarious:

God, episodes 6 & 7 rock so hard...!
After the match was over, and Ciel almost getting his skull crushed, I was pretty positive that he would be invited for the Midnight Tea with Headmaster, since he ate the most shit during the game.

[I think I fell in love]

[The little girl got her dance!]

I am biased, but I could not be happier.
And when the final twist was revealed... ohh boy, we are all in for a treat! I am so glad I didn't have to wait for a week for the following episode...
Episode 9 looked like it would not be received well. Many art styles and animations styles mixed, which is a dangerous thing for CloverWorks - but I loved it. I think it was clever and interesting and well made.
Also, it was a strange way to summarize Book of Atlantic in 5 minutes. 😂

Anyway, spoilers ahead for the next paragraphs.
We learned that the head master has been replaced by Undertaker, and that Derrick has been killed by the P4. We can only assume the others ended the same way.
While the reason for his murder is still revealing itself (by another fucking cliffhanger) it did answer 2 important questions - 1) what did Redmond mean by "I didn't expect you to betray me too" and 2) why Greenhill said he will never get violent again.
From what we know - Derrick used to be Redmond's drudge, and he was a very cheerful and talented fellow. But one day, P4 received a poem that showed Derrick's true face - he was bullying students of Red House.
Next thing we know, Redmond asked a member of Aurora society to bring Derrick back from life, but of course that did not end well...

What can I say? A classic Black Butler, worthy of standing next to the other arcs proudly. Brilliant, simply brilliant.
And I called a few things! For example, when I saw Derrick's eyes, I knew they were dead eyes.

This was absolutely disgusting (though the eyes are awful in a bad way), but what got me what Sebastian taking time and explaining shit while Greenhill almost lost his arm.

Or here, I called they killed him. Look at Greenhill's bat.

Good things happened, though. Welcome back, Undertaker. And we got to see Grell too... though not how I wanted to.

And this shot made things make so much sense so quickly...

Oh I can't wait for the next episode! It is killing me, absolutely destroying me!
God this series is great!

Massive spoilers for the 10th episode to the end of this section
So not only did Derrick bully the kids, but Lower Master (the guy falling on his face all the time) knew about it the whole time and refused to punish Derrick, showing tha the was probably drunk the whole time.
Not only that, but Greenhill acted on his own, when he hit Derrick with his bat, due to his nerves getting the best of him at the thought of Derrick becoming a prefect the next year. And to be honest, that was a great symbol of how P4 are amazing friends, and how much their "job" or rather position means to them.

The way they all immediately jumped to help Greenhill - Violet not letting anyone leave the room, Redmond and Bluer getting a grip on Lower Master/Vice Principal... I am 5 minutes in the episode and already ranting this much.

[Charlie Chaplin cosplay]

AGARES WAS DEAD ALL ALONG TOO?! I take back everything I said about him falling down the stairs not being funny. IT WAS NEVER SUPPOSED TO BE. It was a clue!

[No, baby, he doesn't want to fu*k you, he wants to eat your soul.]

And one more thing. Does he have the same kind of make-up/stain remover as Mulan on her sleeve??

But there is more. When Ciel ordered to throw away the letter from McMillan, I was very disappointed but I know who Ciel is.. so, okay.
The way P4 ended... I know they deserved it... but that doesn't mean it's a shitty ending.

[This was breaking my heat a little...]

With that, the season might end and I would be happy. but there is still one more episode and I have no idea what it will be... The secret will reveal itself in the next post 'Last Episodes'.

The episode I started Spring with is the episode opening and ending changed. And they are good! Not better, not worse.

Episode 15 was probably my most favorite episode of them all. The animation was funky, Senshi was amazing (fatherly and funny) and I loved the hay fever stuff. It was incredibly fun!
Chilchuck was great, showing us what's in him. What a perfect way to make him stand out in a line of such powerful main characters.
I can't believe Senshi gave a sex talk to poor Chilchuck. I was wheezing. 😂

Screenshots:

Let's move on... 😂
I guess I am tolerating the two other parties, but unless they bring something interesting to the table I am not really interested in them. Shuro might be interesting as a character, but I am a Farcille stan through and through, so I won't be cheering on him at all.

Talking about Farcille, episode 17 gave me all I needed. Finally we get a better look at Falin (that woman IS the story, isn't she).

[She is so freaking hot...]

The episode itself was good. We learned what is up with our girl and our party is ready to save her, take on the dark elf and maybe even take over the dungeon. I am pretty excited about that, because I can definitely see that happening.
Laois will be around monsters as he wanted, Senshi will be able to move around freely and continue doing what Senshi does best, Marcille has that whole thing about learning how dungeon works... It really seems like the best ending for them all.

[Senshi is keeping the food safe no matter what]

Episode 18 was very very fun. We were dealing with Shapeshifters which gave us some incredible comedy moments - in a great way.

My baby boy. His eyes are his best feature for sure.

How to say you have issues and don't know how to ask for help. 😂
And then this came:

I was wheezing so hard, Senshi was panicking so hard. They called his face "a play on dwarf stereotypes" my poor boy. 😂😂
But the fact that this is how Laois and Chil see him in his head is incredibly funny to me.

[*that* Trigger animation: activated.]

[The sound at 19:24 was just perfection]

[Senshi, baby, no. Don't collect rice from the floor...]

Dungeon Meshi is slowly coming to an end, and around 4 episode before that they introduce Izutsumi who I love. I adore her. God. You know what's coming.

Now for screenshots from anime that are funny... and not just me pining for the beast girl.

[Marcille is holding a Falin doll]

[How could he mistake the two of them??? Also Senshi looks so done]

[Me]

Episode 22 goes right next to others that are more memorable. Not only we got back into prophecy about the one that will take over the dungeon, but we also learned something more about Chilchuck and Senshi. And they did it in a way, that teases us to wait until the next episode for an epic storytelling.
Plus, Itsuzumi was perfectly adorable and cat-like, so what's not to love?

[The black elf and the white male elf look so cool.]

[The defeat of a man]

[He's too erotic, isn't he..]

The last episode we are covering in this post is focused mainly on Senshi and his backstory. Which... finally.

[This does explain Anne/keplie]

[This guy really was Senshi's everything]

The next part was... so awful, I wish I can forget it about sometimes.
Laois' reaction of immediately asking if Senshi wanted to try and eat Griffin was one of THE WORST writing choices I have ever come across.
It was not funny, it did not work and even for Laois' 'can't read the room' atmosphere, it was too much.

This was one of the most heartwarming moments known to mankind and I am making that my PC wallpaper-

Second half of the episode was much much lighter and very funny.
The group got transformed by changelings, and I almost died out here. The change itself was a very clever way of easing the atmosphere - Marcille was adorable as a half-foot, Chilchuck looked like a teenager on drugs, Laios was definitely enjoying it too much... And Senshi.. well...

[Everyone during Pride]

[Somehow this guy reminds me of hws France]

[Look at those gay hands working]

As it turns out, the last two episodes are part 1 & 2... so you all need to wait for a proper wrap up. :P
It should take me no more than a week... hopefully.
