Yamada-kun to Lv999 no Koi wo Suru

Welcome to the new type of review!

In this section we will take look at the shows I've watched and I will try to give you a few reasons to watch or a few reason why it's not worth your time. Sometimes it's hard to write a review for every show you watch, a good review that is. But you can always make a list of things you liked and disliked about the show!
I am covering a lot of the anime in Anime wrap-up or Down the memory lane, but that's usually just to tell you my opinion and score.
In this section, I will try to address the strong and the weak sides of the anime we're covering. Standalone series will have one post dedicated to them, and series (OVAs, specials and sequels) will be done together as well.

Yamada-kun to Lv999 no Koi wo Suru

Quick summary:

Akane just got dumped... Her boyfriend fell in love with someone he met in a game. And what better way to get back at your shit*y ex than to show him how great you are without him? But what's this?
Akane meets a boy. A strange boy she doesn't really understand but... he is a part of her guild in the game. Along with other guildmates, Akane begins a new life with a new group of friend and who knows... maybe getting dumped was the best thing that could happen to her.

👌 They're in love your honor!

The strongest side to this anime it's the story. Nowadays, the romance either starts in episode two or drags until the very end - often without a single kiss or a proper confession. Yamada-kun gave us a fresh romantic comedy in which relationships slowly grow and feelings blossom naturally, as a result of interaction.
The love grows slowly, and we get to see both of them feeling their feelings - not speaking them to a wall while we sit and nod. No. We really get to see them figuring everything out, we see people noticing their feelings.
And that doesn't just involve Yamada and Akane. Or well, the romantic aspect. As Akane gets to know other people, we see her getting comfortable in their presence. Everything happening so naturally helps making this a great show.

👌 Different age groups - the truth behind online gaming

When the internet was starting out, everyone kept warning us to watch out who we talk to and what we're doing. No one listened and we found ourselves meeting our online friends - those that were 15 and those that were 51.
The internet is a crazy place, but it was build for people, not an age group. Everyone likes games, right? Well, Yamada-kun really works with this.
Our female protagonist is 20 years old, while our male protagonist is around 18. The two of them get coffee or cake with Runa (who is in middle school), Kamota (a middle aged man) and lots more.
It's real, it's happening everywhere around the world and I love it.
Online relationships aren't just scary and dangerous (meaning stalker, perverts and trolls), but they can be really beautiful too. Unlikely friendships arise!!

👌 All you can eat

Yamada-kun is a heartfelt anime that I've seen while I was having trouble watching any anime at all. I didn't want to read subtitles, I wanted to watch something that would catch my attention straight away.
I ate it all up in one day, wanting more and rewatching certain scenes over and over again.
It just has that charm and it flows so easily, you can't help it. There is just no way you can stop! You want to see it all right away! (And then you're sad that it already ended...)
Man, I wouldn't want to watch this while it was airing... waiting for weeks would end me!

Conclusionit's a must watch 💖
